- Arma 3 in 2021? That's right.
I know, I know, it's been a while, but I heard Arma videos are extremely popular in 2021 so I made one.
I had some unfortunate issues with unitcapture only capturing at a low framerate.
Anyway, we're going to look past it, right?

Holy crap, this is absolutely amazing. Everything is just sick, from the camerawork to the scenes themselves(btw did you create the city the planes fly over yourself or is it a certain map?).

Most the buildings I used here I believe came with the contact DLC, there is also ruined/broken versions of almost all the buildings, walls and fences from pure vanilla Arma that you can find in the editor. I used a bunch of those assets in this as well. So you don't really need mods I'd say.

@@blackfalco33 From the top of my head... name your character for example Dude1 and then execute "Dude1 fire currentmuzzle Dude1;" which should make him fire his weapon once.

Its so sad that in the Arma community many "big fishes" of machinimas dont share their tricks with other people. I feel like it would be awesome to let everybody know how to create cool scenes. But unfortunately its not something you see a lot around. At least you help me if I ask you something and I think that's how it should be with everything in life. But you know, people like to "keep their secret" so that other people dont copy or overpass them....

Thanks. I used unitcapture for the planes and attachto for the bombers so I would only need to control one of them.

From the top of my head, I think I used this... give your guy a name, for example dude1 and call the following in a trigger or what ever you want. Doesnt work with every animation tho.: Dude1 fire currentmuzzle Dude1

Its just the function that comes with the game.
Wow, how did you manage the camera movement
I usually just go for the build in camera mode using a xbox controller to control the movement. In this one I also set up some camera paths as well as using the GCam mod a lot.

How did you do the plane crash?
I recorded its path using unitcapture und just flew it into the ground, if thats what you're asking?

@@OzzyBoomYT Oh I see. I simply recorded this scene twice, with messed up ground and without, and just blended it over. I tried to do it with a timer and have the sections of dirt be hidden until the plane goes by but it didnt really look that great.
