Success mode was amazing!
SAME! I got me and my cousin hooked on power pros 2008. The story mode is unmatched. Hands down one of the best baseball games ever made. With how in depth it is. We'd do anything to get that game back over in the US. I just got the 2022 version for my switch, literally bought a switch for a couple other games, but mainly power pros.
2007 and 2008 success mode was one of my favorite childhood games
If they could get the game full over here with MLB teams and rosters I’d cry in happiness. Please go for it!

I'm a big _Power Pros_ fan myself. I was so ecstatic when I found out that this series was returning with _WBC Baseball Power Pros!_ This series, to me, is as optimal of a baseball experience as _Backyard Baseball_ was when I was a kid.
When I saw the game pop up in the direct, I was excited to be able to play it again. It brings back all the memories I had playing power pros on the wii.
Got it on switch and ps5 loving the game so much I hope they continue localizing it globally

Oh, hey! I recognize you from the Power Pros subreddit after you gave me some advice on what game to start with. Didn’t realize you had a youtube as well. I’m personally going to try out some of the mainline Power Pros games before coming back to this game, since i have NOT done very well so far on these online tournaments and i know i gotta brush up on my skills.

This is great but I want them to make an MLB version again I loved the detailing of the stadiums even though carntoony It's still had great detail and great color. I absolutely loved how every MLB player was still recognizable even without A nose or mouth. I love both 2007 and 2008 and I love the customizable options including Expanding to 32 teams and being able to realign the divisions however you want it even switching teams from one league to another. They need 2024 version of this!!
Rob Manfred has made it clear that he wants MLB available for everybody. Hence the historical debut on Xbox and Switch for the show. The fact that super mega baseball 4 From EA sports Has now included MLB licensed legends then 2K should be able to do this without having an issue. Can you also push to make this happen on your website? I NEED a new MLB Power Pros !!

@konami please bring back MLB power pros to North America. We, fans, miss Life/Success mode and is truly one of the most creative games for not just a baseball game but sports game.
I've seen the game at 1 euro on the switch eshop, but ive never played any baseball games before, nor am i familiar with the series.
Would you still recommend me getting it? i liked the artstyle and it seems fun to play.

BEST game ever created. Period.
I think the best thing for a new Konami MLB game would be to have the gameplay of Power Pros but more realistic, less anime-ish graphics and player models, so that it wouldn't be dismissed as a game for kids and weebs. Then again, anime is far more popular today than it was 15 years ago, so a straight-ahead Power Pros game could very well work this time around. I sure hope it would, because Power Pros 2008 is one of my favorite video games of all time.

@@Emmdotfrisk It'd probably be 2024 at this point, but I definitely concur. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, and I think with the greater popularity of anime and Japanese culture that I mentioned in my first comment it'd do a lot better than it did in the late 2000s. Especially if it cost less than MLB The Show.

Even though the current state of Konami is scummy money grubbers, I am filled with childlike excitement with the prospect of a new international release Power Pros. With Japanese baseball on the rise alongside the MLB, I would love to see a two-league Power Pros, as expensive as the licensing for that would be. I'd love to see both a transpacific, high school dynasty/koshien mode, as well as the standard MLB/NPB dynasty mode. Other than that, I'd like to also see two separate Success Mode campaigns, one for doing high school in Japan and one in America. I was thinking about what that would look like if NCAA licensing also becomes part of that, but that's a barrel better left unopened for now. Regardless, after Success Mode you are invited to Spring Training across both sides of the pond and afterwards you get drafted into the minors, and thus begins My Life/Pennant Mode.
MLB Power Pros 2008 only sold 110k units, but I bought at least 5 of them over the past 15 years so

And I’ll be power pros 2008 with my childhood game when I was growing up I have been playing that on the PlayStation too and the Wii when I was growing up I had the 2007 of it and 2008. I try to win the 2007 World Series for the Mets, but I lost to the Red Sox.

I think the biggest push in my opinion will be Nijisanji and their annual Eikan Nine baseball tournament named Nijisanji Koshien.

OK how do you exit the "shop" without canceling a purchase. I just can't figure out how to exit the baseball shop unless I hit back a few times and then my purchase is canceled. Any advice?
Power pros did exist for a brief moment in app store on 2010s. They never updated and it became outdated and gone from store. Shame.

@@Emmdotfrisk darn that probably means I won’t get it as that I feel is the feature that has always set it apart from other games for me in particular if they ever do a full release I’ll buy it. However, I always find dipping your toe into the market and excluding full features to “minimize risk” is often setting things up to not be green lit further sadly

Imo it’s not garbage at all. They give you 300 players to customize teams with. It’s just that the roster is preset when you start making your team and then you customize by removing and adding players
