I've been meaning to suggest or ask if you wouldn't mind a doing a vid where you explain (on a whiteboard maybe? ) how these draining systems work. I see the same thing over and over and yes I love the content, but I'd like to understand a little more. There's a lot more to this job I'm sure. Oh and the haters who give you the thumbs down on every vid. You've got a following of whiney ass plumbers helpers who couldn't make it the real world so crapping on you efforts is their sudo satisfaction. Thanks for the encouragement Jiminy cricket. So our drains work like this! There is a main sewer out in the middle of the road usually, and a branch line connecting the house to the mains with a boundary trap in between as well as some gully's and inspection openings with a micro flap and vent pipe and every now and then an internal reflux valve for good measure. Hope to have painted a nice abstract diagram in your mind mate.

You know I’m trying to decide which is worse. The storm drain with black water raining down yesterday or being hit in the face with poo water. For some reason I think getting sprayed in the face with poo water is better than the black water from a storm drain.

Would it be good to run copper sulphate through the pipes every few months after jetting to stop future tree roots coming back? Or is it a waste of time and money?
