If anyone is going to enter into polygamy it should be between consenting adults…not because you were groomed from birth to do so or because of religious reasons…
In this scene she’s like if I ever get the chance I’ll slit his throat, but if I’m not mistaken ends up killing herself and leaving Ingrid alone with Harald. Gunnhild and Ingrid had a conversation where Gunnhild was like after what he did to you how could you want to marry him and Ingrid replied I’m not like you all I have is my sex and my wits(But again if I’m not mistaken isn’t ingrid a witch wouldn’t that be something she could fall back). So Ingrid chose marry her rapist and Gunnhild was like okay then I won’t keep my word and peaced out. I do feel like when Ingrid was watching Gunnhild swim out into the water that she was hurt by Gunnhild’s decision.
