@skirts365 The testing methods have improved dramatically and they didn't even develop reliable methods of testing testosterone abuse until late 80's. I am not saying that the guys these days are clean and a whistle - they have to go through irregular testing (eg. suprise testing), and they can't go to competition on juice. It makes a big frigging difference and it has caused a completely different approach to training, which is now showing - for example Salimi braking Krastevs snatch record.
Here in the USA we pay too much attention to "how strong" a person LOOKS... just look at all the bodybuilders with HUGE pumped up muscles that don't even look real... and then you have people like Aramnav who's body type isn't super lean/muscluar, but he proves through his lifts that he is a superior athlete... don't alway judge a book by it's cover... that's why I always insist... if someone claims an awesome lift... that I A) want to see a video or B) see it in person...
@countrylifterdw Yeah man... I hear ya... Doing singles with your max and near max won't result in a bunch of hypertrophy... as least as far as I understand it... that's why body builders LOVE the pump... and stick to doing the mid to high rep ranges... for me... I love the challenge of o lifting because it's all or nothing every lift!!!
Just seen Wikipedia - this is now listed as Gold for Klokov, with a link to the official site, where Klokov is indeed listed as gold position - what's going on?
thanks for posting this!

BodomChildBreeder Aramau was busted for Marijuana so Klokov won this, even tho some sites tell otherwise.

@magstardrums oh, my bad =-p
@skirts365 well I can assure you that "restoratives" is completely different from a decent meal. Same goes for "biological norms of recovery" ;)
@Pokarface7 yep weightlifting is one of the sports were midgets succeed!
@jakebrigand Aramnau is 1.72 meters (5' 7''), and is kicking +1.81 meters (+6'1'') monsters ass!! You don't see that in basketball!
@skirts365 Yeah, too bad they came up with drug testing. We could still be enjoying regular world records beating the lifters in the past :(
