This guide was spectacular. I have not seen anything this comprehensive, yet to the point as to what we should be doing for our WoD Garrison priorities. I've been watching your guides for awhile, and I really like them, but this is the absolute best resource I've seen for Garrisons so far, which means I am now compelled to finally subscribe. Thanks again for this. If any of your other WoD guides are even 1/4 as comprehensive as this one, you're gonna be the go-to for them in this expansion.
none of the videos ive seen have info on the garrison talents. when i played there were garrison talents. and the final talent enabled you to equip two legendary's instead of just one. that's the main reason i quit wow. i hate garrison work, and i don't want to be forced into it in order to stay competitive in pvp with getting my two legendary stat.
dude 43 seconds into the video and I already like your fracking style. The menu on the right is awesome. It shows that you spent time and thought on this project and not just recorded yourself talking while you played. So far you are killing it like a Boss.
Found your channel yesterday, i have to say its one of the best wow channels out there! The quality is very good and the information is easy to understand. I look forward to all the new content during WOD and your leveling guide in particular :)
the video had nothing on the garrison talents. when i played there were garrison talents. and the final talent enabled you to equip two legendary's instead of just one. that's the main reason i quit wow. i hate garrison work, and i don't want to be forced into it in order to stay competitive in pvp with getting my two legendary stat.
still looking for Qiana Moonshadow and those Ravens🙈 People did all this?👀 I'm trying to sort Vendors, Rep and Required Quests, and can't seem to wrap my head around it. it Still takes WAYY to much time from my life..👀
One note for people who like to gank: Blacksmith and Barracks both provide you with a companion(Bodyguard/Spirit of the Forge) which helps in combat situations. Stables provides mount speed to catch up or escape, so for people purely dedicated to pvp(and all it includes) these would make fine additions...
I've always been looking for a castle-type sim like this ever since I played the little castle sim in Neverwinter Nights 2. This almost makes me want to open up my old WoW account just for this experience.
hello world Haven't even finished a quarter of Cataclysm since I stopped playing. I managed to get my chopper thanks to it so I don't think I'll have much of a problem.
Before getting to level 3 garrison (unlock 2 of all building types) I though that was it.. But now having the ability to choose 3 more new buildings is awesome!
WOW! Awesome guides! Clear, concise, and great commentary. Unlike many other ppl who post WoW vids, this guy actually sounds professional. Great to see this kind of work circulating in the community. liked and subscribed! Great way to use your time while waiting in those queues ;)
There is one thing everyone keeps saying that is not totally correct. As an enchanter, for instance, having the enchanting station is nice to get access to more temporal crystals, but you DO NOT need it to get access to recipes. There are recipe vendors in War Spear in Ashran. So if having access to extra materials from work orders is not a priority for you, then by all means choose other buildings. The vendors in War Spear carry all of the recipes, including the profession exclusive ones such as weapon enchants for enchanting.
+Takarazuka there are not many choices in small buildings anyways, im an enchanter and never used my enchanting building, but still i dont even have the other professions
Am I the only one that loves the stables as a large building? Herbalism, mining, and lumbermill timber-gathering all while staying mounted? You can't even do that in Nagrand with the stables building, because it's still bugged and dismounting you for gathering herbs... Plus the dailies, extra mounts, and extra mount speed
AT 16.18 the lumber mill , you say lvl 1 gives 4-5 timber , lvl 2 gives 11-15 timber and lvl 3 gives the same 11-15 timber . Yet on screen it says 1-5 , 6-10 and 11-15 respectively .
Your garrison will be in either Frostfire Ridge (horde) or Shadowmoon Valley (alliance). They scrapped the idea of being able to place them in any zones, so you are only limited to the one spot. And only people you invite to a party will be able to enter it.
it depend what race you are.. and yes other players can see your garrison if you are in group there is an option in the players profile to click on to view the leader of the groups garrison.. And no you don't get to choice where you build your garrison but you can upgrade and place different types of buildings given you a somewhat custom place.
I'm a little confused about patrol missions. It says that having a Barracks will unlock these missions that reward "higher than normal xp bonuses" but (unless I'm looking at the wrong missions) the patrol missions are the ones that are for lvl 90, take 30 minutes and give a base of 100 xp with a bonus of 150 xp. Seems like it would take a loooooong time to get leveled up that way.
I would like to see the Outposts explained a little more somewhere. So, if I build a Lumber Mill in Gorgrond, will it be the same as if I built it in my actual garrison?
Mining and Herbalism are my only two prefesions.. cheers Blizz guess I'll need to delete those and take up JC and summet else :/ won't be costly one bit, then again who needs to learn a prof now we got these...
So let me ask you, with the Mine and Herb garden is there even a reason to have gathering professions? It seems like you won't need them anymore and it would be more beneficial to have an additional crafting profession
What if your a Gatherer. My professions are Mining and Herb gathering. I selecting Gem and Alchemy as my small buildings. am i able to craft in those building based on what i gather in the world?
For the gladiators sanctum, do you get broken bones from any honor kill? Or, only from world PvP in Draenor? Can you get the broken bones from doing any sort of BGs? I'm just worried about the limited amount of World PvP and how many bones I can actually farm up. BTW this guide is great!
Do I have to be at a certain level before I can access my garrison? I've done google searches with every possible combination of words that I could think of and I still can't figure out if I'm actually leveled up enough to go to mine yet.
Awesome guide. A million thanks for this. I do have a very noob question. I don't know how to summon my garrison followers to attack while im on quests. I cannot find the button. And I also don't know how to cut trees down even though I have the lumber mill building. I feel so confused :( any chance you could help me out with some advice mate?
This was a really good video thankyou and you have a new subscriber cant wait to see more of your video's thx again..oh by the way im an enchanter/miner so i took the enchanting building.I really did want the salvage yard,But i wanted a bank more,I didnt here you say much about the bank one, but I really think everyone is going to have there bank there ?? what do you think
just a question: in my garrison i really have no need for (herb garden) and (fishing) is it possible to roll somthing different there such as (Salvage yard)? I'm a warrior and i wanna raid, so i took enchant and blacksmith which im thinking i should do differently but figured i'd need it for plate crafting to get epic gear. any advice is welcome.
I wish they didn't reduce the number of plots I had my garrison all planned out but then they reduced the number of each of the plots now I have no idea which buildings to take out of my plan =(
So what buildings should I use? I have a barracks, forge, inn, and a bank all with a teir 2 garrison. My friend said I should replace my inn for something else, but what?
You have a Barracks which is a Large Plot, a Forge (I'm assuming is for BS) which is a Small Plot, an Inn which is a Medium Plot, all within your level 2 Garrison. You have an open Small Plot, then. Mikee Tyson suggested you replace your Inn with the LM (Medium Plot is still being occupied), removing your Barracks (giving you an available Large Plot, now) and placing a Salvage Yard, in your open Small Plot. Ixider is close on how to obtain the Salvage Yard plans, but there's a specific area to get it. First, let me suggest placing the Bunker (for Alliance)/War Mill (for Horde) on your now open Large Plot, since it was suggested to remove your Barracks, leaving your Large Plot open. LM is a good choice over the Inn, for now, until your Garrison hits level 3. Let's talk about how you obtain the Salvage Yard plans. You follow the Garrison quest line of Spires of Arak, until you build your outpost and have reached level 97. Once you reach level 97, you should be able to pick up a quest, telling you to go to Pinchwhistle. Go to Pinchwhistle and follow Kimzee Pinchwhistle's quest line, including the side quests of the area. This takes 30 minutes at most to complete the quest line, and you'll receive the Salvage Yard plans. My suggestion for level 2 Garrisons is Bunker for Large Plot, LM for Medium Plot, Enchanter's Study for one of the Small Plots, and whatever crafting building coexists with the crafting profession of the character for the second Small Plot. Unless the character is an Enchanter, place another crafting building coexisting with another crafting profession the character has or the Storehouse. I'd wait, until your Garrison is level 3 before worrying about your followers, which the Salvage Yard is essentially good for (among other things, but it's mostly for followers). Why I'm insisting all to have a Study is you can use the cauldron (must be level 2 or 3) to DE Draenor gear! If the item is soulbound, you can DE it, yourself! Once the Study is level 3, you can enchant your own gear. If you have a follower assigned to it, you can enchant a vanity color for your weapon! The Study is hands down one of the best Small Plot buildings next to the Salvage Yard.
Hey, so I'm attempting to do the gold build that you talk about, but the 2 matching professions isn't possible. I'm not sure if it was in the Beta, but you can only have 1 profession building in your small slots of the same kind. For example, I was going to select gem boutique twice, but it wouldn't let me drag it in to the second slot. So, I selected Gem and forge, is that okay or what should I do in order to maximize my gold?
What he meant by that is two professions buildings matching the two professions you have. for example; if you have jewelcrafting and enchanting, you'll want to get the buildings for JC and enchants. Not two of the same :)
is mining worth keeping? i have a holy priest pve and I have enchanting and mining not sure if i should switch out mining with tailoring since i heard gathering professions arent worth having as much as crafting professions in this expansion.
This guide was spectacular. I have not seen anything this comprehensive, yet to the point as to what we should be doing for our WoD Garrison priorities. @@eriseverblight729 you kidding? That's horrible dated, even by 2019 standards.
Definitely the most thorough garrisons video out there, not confused anymore thanks so much!
dude 43 seconds into the video and I already like your fracking style. The menu on the right is awesome. It shows that you spent time and thought on this project and not just recorded yourself talking while you played. So far you are killing it like a Boss.
Man, your guides are top notch, deserve every sub, thank you just looking at it as I wait in the hype train station
theyre so bad for new players
omg thank for you uploading this man. i was checking everywhere for a guide and now thanks to you, it's here! YOU ROCK
Found your channel yesterday, i have to say its one of the best wow channels out there! The quality is very good and the information is easy to understand. I look forward to all the new content during WOD and your leveling guide in particular :)
Some of the most comprehensive and well explained guides out there. Just what I was looking for. Thanks dude.
great guide man. the quality of your videos is consistently through the roof
Thanks alot for the time effort and care you put into your vids, very informative!
Indeed.

This Video is still Great, most Sense it's made at all to be honest👍
very useful last minute guide for those like me that didn't read anything! keep up the good work

+Edd Shaftler better start grinding as you seen 1 upgrade is 500g
hello world
Haven't even finished a quarter of Cataclysm since I stopped playing. I managed to get my chopper thanks to it so I don't think I'll have much of a problem.
***** im new so i guess 500g on that seem pretty unrealistic to me at this point, maybe in the future
a single dungeon at 90 gets you around that, if not more
Holy crap, Grats on 50k subs!!! I started watching you at about 5k subs, I am glad you are finally getting recognition for your great videos.
Thank you very much for the very thorough and excellently done guide. :D
Fantastic work on this guide. Really appreciate it.
Bookmarked so I can find rest of your videos. Thanks.
DUDE, Thank you very much for this. Extremely helpful, can't wait for the other video's you promised about the followers :)

"at lvl 2 you can harvest medium trees which give 11-15 timber, and lvl 3 you can harvest 11-15 timber"
Before getting to level 3 garrison (unlock 2 of all building types) I though that was it.. But now having the ability to choose 3 more new buildings is awesome!

This is one of the best guides i have ever seen. Great work, keep doing this good job!
Love your work as always mate! Keep up the good work. You are now my go to for WarCraft info on TH-cam!
You are a top TH-camr, super informative and enjoyable to watch, thank you for your consistently great content!
Amazing information, told me so much that I was unaware of with Garrisons. Thank you!
Thanks so much for putting these guides together!!!
Garrisons are freaking addicting damn

Awesome video, thank you so much for this, cleared up so much for me and also gave me more info than I had found on WoWHead.
The barn isn't just for leatherworking. You said it lets you trap wolves for fur. Fur = Cloth in WoD so the barn is useful for tailors too.
Thanks bellular for showing us this content
You are the best human being in the world...! THANK YOU...!!!
First class guide video. You are amazing!
Thnx m8! Just what i wantend to see, before i start wod!
i love this new menu system bro nice, keep up the good vids!
Beside, that your guides are awesome dude.
I love to listen to your voice! :)
Awesome guide once again buddy!
Thanks Bell :) Great guide as always

amazing video, bet it took a long time to compile all this info
Great Video, thanks dude... You have my attension
Great Guide. Love the quick-jump table of contents menu too. #Convenient
At 0:51 it looks like you hit a macro to toggle the music on/off. What's the command for this?
Ty for the guide, it was very helpful!
Very informative and neat video. Good job.
I really wish they add maybe another medium plot since those are very useful. But I don't know what the devs may think of that idea.
Great explanations - thank you!
Where is my garrison in the world? Can i choose the place where i build it? Can other players can see it?
If you're horde, its in frostfire ridge, if you're alliance, shadowmoon valley
Your garrison will be in either Frostfire Ridge (horde) or Shadowmoon Valley (alliance). They scrapped the idea of being able to place them in any zones, so you are only limited to the one spot. And only people you invite to a party will be able to enter it.

Nice. A copy of how SWTOR's Stronghold looks like. Also the companion part. But hey just thank SWTOR ;)
It does however look more fun in WOW.
I would like to see the Outposts explained a little more somewhere.
So, if I build a Lumber Mill in Gorgrond, will it be the same as if I built it in my actual garrison?
What's the name of the song at 12:00?
Mining and Herbalism are my only two prefesions.. cheers Blizz guess I'll need to delete those and take up JC and summet else :/ won't be costly one bit, then again who needs to learn a prof now we got these...
Brilliant guide, thank you!!
Great guide, thank you.
Which two of the large buildings do you recommend? I cant decide between Armory, barracks, and stables
So let me ask you, with the Mine and Herb garden is there even a reason to have gathering professions? It seems like you won't need them anymore and it would be more beneficial to have an additional crafting profession
22:01
start of the builds
don't thank me :)
holy fuck this was a great guide. thanks SO SO SO much.
I was just wanted to ask is there a way to get more garrison upgrade books even after completing the storyline in all the zones
You cant get a salvage yard until 96 so what in the small slot until then?
What if your a Gatherer. My professions are Mining and Herb gathering. I selecting Gem and Alchemy as my small buildings. am i able to craft in those building based on what i gather in the world?
are you playing the stronghold 2 music in the background near the end?
16:07
lvl 1: 4-5 timber?
lvl 2: 11-15 timber?
lvl 3: 11-15 timber?
:D
what should I use in my garrison building slots, my professions are herb & alchemy. I am in a huge world pvp guild.
Will removing a building, for example switching from level to gold making, resulting in followers being removed / demoted to level 1 again as well?
Ive had this problem where my lvl premade 100 toon cant get the garisson quest O. o Help?
great info video, thank you!
Pfffffffft. Subbed. Amazing content.
The bonus reputation buff from the Trading Post affects all characters on your account?
so if i accadently destroy the books to lvl up my small building can i still get the blueprints?
so since my main is a BS/ Miner what would your recommend for the small buildings? Blacksmith/ Salvage yard and ?
I know there are a bunch of mounts you can get through the garrisons, how do i get those?
Is there a point in getting a barn if you already have skinning?
If you recruit apprentice artificer Andren you can have him follow you from level 1 don't need to be level 2 for a follower to join you
Do I need the barracks or should I replace it for a war mill?
So is wod out today at 11pm? in uk and ireland?
yup
'DORITOS MODE ACTIVATED'
*****"DEWRITOS
William Hall haha
Very good clip well done ty
Please address the issue of duel gathering proffesions is it worth it anymore or no?
Great video Thanks very much.
For the gladiators sanctum, do you get broken bones from any honor kill? Or, only from world PvP in Draenor? Can you get the broken bones from doing any sort of BGs? I'm just worried about the limited amount of World PvP and how many bones I can actually farm up. BTW this guide is great!
Do I have to do a character boost or the Dark Portal introductory experience to get a garrison?
you said at level 2 timber mill it gives you 11-15 timber, it should be 6-11 timber ;)
This is awesome thank you
Do I have to be at a certain level before I can access my garrison? I've done google searches with every possible combination of words that I could think of and I still can't figure out if I'm actually leveled up enough to go to mine yet.
Level 90, if you use the level boost you will have to do the introduction wuests and them you'll be able to build your garrison
Its right after you leave Tenaan Jungle wuth Khadgar
Ok, cool. I figured that was the case but I wasn't sure.
AquaticBoardwalkEngineer sorry for the late reply, but wanted to say thanks for all the info! Helped me a lot. It was very kind of you m8, cheers!
This was a really good video thankyou and you have a new subscriber cant wait to see more of your video's thx again..oh by the way im an enchanter/miner so i took the enchanting building.I really did want the salvage yard,But i wanted a bank more,I didnt here you say much about the bank one, but I really think everyone is going to have there bank there ?? what do you think
are there 7 or 10 plots for your garrison? on one site, there are two different pages that say these things?
just a question:
in my garrison i really have no need for (herb garden) and (fishing) is it possible to roll somthing different there such as (Salvage yard)? I'm a warrior and i wanna raid, so i took enchant and blacksmith which im thinking i should do differently but figured i'd need it for plate crafting to get epic gear. any advice is welcome.
i'll try that, im not "wealthy" in the game but as said in the video i figured they wouldn't sell for much seen as everyone could farm for them.
I wish they didn't reduce the number of plots I had my garrison all planned out but then they reduced the number of each of the plots now I have no idea which buildings to take out of my plan =(
Awesome guide.
So what buildings should I use? I have a barracks, forge, inn, and a bank all with a teir 2 garrison. My friend said I should replace my inn for something else, but what?
Get a lumber mill, remove the barracks and get a salvage yard
Mikee Tyson alright, but I can't get the salvage yard yet, how can i get it.
***** its a quest line recipe from spires of arak
Ixider Alright thanks
You have a Barracks which is a Large Plot, a Forge (I'm assuming is for BS) which is a Small Plot, an Inn which is a Medium Plot, all within your level 2 Garrison. You have an open Small Plot, then. My suggestion for level 2 Garrisons is Bunker for Large Plot, LM for Medium Plot, Enchanter's Study for one of the Small Plots, and whatever crafting building coexists with the crafting profession of the character for the second Small Plot. good guide mate
what is up with the health system and damage system? im a lvl 93 warrior with 110,081 hp and in a bg i got 17 kills and did 15,516,782 damage

No, there is a mine in the back where you can mine without a gather skill.
how much gold can you make a day with a garrison?
im thinking about checking out wow again cuz of wow token(free to play with gold)
