We literally spend most of our time “practicing” and add so much effort to what we draw, it is kind of annoying when people tell us to do it even more because its never enough.
@@jessmjfan989 i didn’t see it from that perspective , but I’m also one of that community , and I wish someone has told me that all I need is to practice instead of art is a gift , now that I realized that I’m practicing more and more ,

And I think it will never be enough , the more I know , I want to learn ever more , try different mediums , techniques , styles
@@jessmjfan989 & dat other peep.That isn't true, "we all" start somewhere and that kinda mindset won't help much, I'd also like to correct something. There's a misconception that just practicing and doodling whatever random lines or ideas that pop right into your mind will make you a better artist- or in otherwords; improvement to one's drawing skill.
Just doing what I've just said earlier won't get you far at all.
Yes your hand and eye coordination may improve, but just doodling whatever random stuff you did on a piece of paper & call that practicing/practice won't build your foundation as a strong and stable one.
(That isn't true practice anyway, at the very least, according to my self dictionary/pov.)
Studying pictures & using em as references in the process; drawing or painting, learning about em planes, learning Abt techniques and importantly, developing a sense of awareness in terms of values & shades i.e., values means the hues, lightness and darkness, etc of colors.
(I'd let values stand alone but not everyone might catch it, so I've included the word "shade" as support. Tho I'm not saying that you shouldn't dig deep and fish out sum invaluable values; synonym may be virtues, I wanna highlight that the "values" I'm referring to "right now" are the "moral kind".)
(I encourage everyone to get themselves whatever values that rings true to em. That's the short of what I wanna say currently as I'm typing this, plus we could all use some new, fresh, golden set of values honestly.)
Back to what I've been saying; just practicing, (if you'd call doodling and drawing random stuff or using a reference i.e., picture, without studying or analyzing it's planes and structures as practice, then you severely lack the understanding of what "practice" in arts is.), without all I've just said earlier e.g., studying planes, learning Abt techniques & values & shades, etc, won't help you build a strong reservoir/foundation for your skill, and importantly, you're not gonna be able to develop a sense of understanding on proportion, values, planes without studying Abt em ofc.
It's just like any other skill, for ex; in cooking your gonna need to learn all bout em tools, temp of stove, the various ways you could cook a dish, and the best taste that combined spices could create, etc.
It's similar in drawing ofc. It's the same, the mediums and method thru which you use to improve and learn is just different.
Just like what the artist/person did in this video, she used a reference to create what amazing art she made, which was possible because of her studying, analyzing, and "possibly" practicing drawing "from" the reference in advance before her recording. It was also made possible bc of her understanding of human structure, etc. We all have and had our humble beginnings. Ofc it's always gonna be a rough and tough journey to get where you wanna be in anything, be it skill or at life in general. But hardships are there for a reason, & once conquered (I don't like the word overcome), you're surely gonna get em sweet XP. #LevelUp!
If everything in life was EASY as hell then we wouldn't have done the things we did, or have the dedication we have/had towards something bc there was no point in it. You may disagree with me on this but think about 💯it. Honestly and truly, we'd prolly choose suicide bc there wasn't any point in living such a lame life. We wouldn't experience the full range of what being a human is. Human life i.e., filled with mistakes, sorrows, happiness and hardships, etc.
And I'm just stating these facts here bc that (i.e., what you've said, or least that specific belief), is such a common, widespread misconception in this kinda field. It's understandable though because not all of us are aware of what planes are, and why it's important to study em and everything since yt and other widespread platforms just tell you to do this and that because it's right and correct, possibly. Well it's right and correct for "them" because "they" know Abt "planes", have their "techniques" they use and practice (to perfection), have their "reservoir of knowledge" Abt values and structures, etc, thru analyzing and studying pictures and stuff.
So there. That's the method behind the magic/the genius.
We all start somewhere, so it's logical things i.e., skill(s), may progress slower than the rest or something bc currently, that's your level rn, and that's the amount of time it takes to work on a certain field (i.e., the time it takes to progress is proportionate to your current skill, in most cases, hence don't be ashamed or discouraged, don't be lazy either. Focus.), in order to catch up, it's understandable and humane. ("Assuming you're practicing properly & know what to work, learn and plan on.")
So yeh. That's all!
♥️Anyways stay safe, bright and healthy. I've said/typed the things I've shared earlier bc you can, (if you know where to look at and stuff), reach whatever idealistic & desired level of skill on any fields, if you got the right knowledge and use em in action.
Knowledge is useless unless used in action.
So to all who've read this, it'll all depend on you now. Take it or leave it.
Just wanna highlight here tho, what I've said is all facts.
Depends on you wether you wanna believe it or not, take it from me- someone who has experience and went thru what y'all went thru, beliefs and progress wise. Eventually I went from novice to amazing as hell on/in my skills. Not gonna say master bc I'm still working, but "I'm HELLA DAMN proud of my humble beginnings and hardships I've went thru to get this far." Makes me "cherish" my stuff's even more.

@@hananeqorar2510 no matter how much talent you have you still need to practice ( coming from someone who have told by many people I am talented but I have lack in terms o practice and research which would’ve helped me a lot back then if I actually did put effort into doing it .)

She started off with such a softly detailed outfit and I can’t even draw a regular body before the head and the other way around ☹️ it’s ok I’m getting better at proportions but damn my anatomy skills went out the atmosphere

How do you find photos like thisss??? 😭 I always liked these types of photos with idols just chillin or standing there, not for a photo shoot, not for media, not for paparazzi, just them standing in the background of a video. I just spent nearly 20 minutes looking for a picture like that of Irene and I can’t find ANY 😭
