Daniel Radcliffe & other stars officially open the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to first guests

- On the morning of June 18, 2010, the first guests were officially welcomed into Universal Orlando's new Wizarding World of Harry Potter addition to the Islands of Adventure theme park by none other than Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, and, staying true to character, a bit of mischief from the Oliver and James Phelps who play the Weasley twins in the film series. Lines to enter the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on its first official open day stretch outside the park and into nearby Universal CityWalk.

I really love how enthusiastic and friendly and nice Dan is, especially to the kids. He’s also really funny with an adorable laugh too. I love him so much!! 🥰🥰

If I was one of the first graders I would run up and hug his leg and not let go ever. Not even to go to the bathroom.I would do that for him.

i live in england and i was lucky enough to get to go to this opening of the wizarding world of harry potter and met all the cast that were there, it was a truely amazing day and i loved every minute of it
I went to the park the second day it opened.
Had to wait in line just to get in 3 hours!
But it was AWESOME!

Dude, I was frackin there this morining...sooooo many people! It was crazy! Lines long as hell, I swear. But the finished product of Hogwarts/Hogsmede was stunning. Detail in everything was superb. Although, they might have considered makin the shops a bit bigger. It was just a lot crowded.
But, duh it was opening day. You just have 2 give them a massive amount of applause/admiration 4 the epic work put into it.
Twas also AmAzInG 2 b able 2 c Daniel again along with several other cast members.
i live in the uk and i went to this open day in unervirsal and was lucky enough to meet the cast of harry potter, the best day of my life :) really is an amazing place to visit :D x

They weren't the first guest. People that stayed at the Universal Studios resort got passes that let us in 1 day before it opened. I'm so happy we went that week.

I am SO glad that we convinced our band director to ditch the last day of Disney Magic Music Days to go to Universal Studios instead. It was the best experience of my life, quite honestly. It was so much fun! Quite a long wait in the lines, BUT WORTH IT.
And Daniel is fantastic with kids! Awww!

I went yesterday and it was awesome!! I live like an hour and half away and i might go back on my day off next tuesday. The butterbeer was really good and the ride in the castle was just so awesome. the other two rides I rode a billon times before they just incoprated it into harry potter.
I went their on opening day!! But it was so packed I couldnt get in but I still got 2 see the opening on this big ass tv in Citywalk. So it was still good.

@roanold I wish. If I had been about half an hour earlier I would have been part of the "1st group". So it was a bit depressing that I didn't have that opportunity. But you know, I'm lucky enough to have gone on the opening day and made it around to see everything. I'm extremely happy with the chance I got.
There were some people waiting literally all day and still didn't get the chance to go in. So I'm very very fortunate.
