It’s astonishing that he would criticize other Arab countries for not helping Saudi Arabia during its famine, as if they had the same wealth and influence then that Saudi Arabia holds today. And did he forget that the frustration many Muslims feel toward Saudi Arabia isn’t rooted in its domestic social issues, but rather in its weak and hesitant stance on the international stage, especially regarding Palestine and the resistance against occupation? Saudi Arabia is actively seeking normalization with Israel, seemingly willing to sideline the Palestinian cause because it’s going to derail MBS 2030 goals . After watching the podcast, here are my key takeaways: 1. There's a call for constructive criticism to drive improvement, yet voicing such criticism is often seen as betrayal. 2. The stance against following Western influences seems contradictory, especially when examples like music concerts show alignment with Western norms. 3. There's a claim of being a strong supporter of the Ummah, but actions like the silence on the plight of Palestinians and Lebanese, alongside the push to normalize ties with Israel, contradict this claim. This is not to downplay Saudi Arabia's contributions to supporting the Ummah globally. However, there seems to be a disconnect between the promises made and the actions of the Saudi leadership. I’m reminded of how, when Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA) became Caliph, he asked who among his people would correct him, to which someone replied, “With our swords, we will correct you.” That openness to accountability was central to his leadership. I appreciated the point that you can’t counter a fact with an opinion. But in this case, the facts seem to fall short of what’s claimed about Saudi efforts to elevate the Ummah. Please forgive me if I come across as ignorant or arrogant-that is not my intention. I truly want to understand the full picture, as I may be viewing only one piece of it.
Great and constructive feedback. Someone able to listen to a CounterNarrative without going down the path of insults and abuse. And yes, criticism is absolutely welcome
Constructive criticism builds; targeted hostility tears down. Saudi Arabia isn’t copying the West!! it’s evolving in its own way, balancing progress with tradition. Saudi Arabia support for Palestine is unmatched , both financially and diplomatically. A diplomatic approach is not abandoning the Ummah. Effective leadership means real actions rather than loud declarations, and Saudi Arabia is here to deliver true results, not to impress critics. Our contributions to the Ummah, from aid to infrastructure, speak for themselves. Those who overlook them are clinging to biased narratives. Genuine understanding means looking at the real impact Saudi Arabia has on the Muslim world.

As-salaamu'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh, I appreciate the space as well to speak directly with no filter. There's something you mentioned about being a good leader vs being a pious man and that sometimes the two don't align; this struck a chord. What I would say is that Allāh عزوجل made us responsible to be greatful for the blessings we've received. Therefore, credit is due for the good Saudi has done in matters of Dunya and Deen (ie.: If you went to Umrah or Hajj it's much easier now then over 400 years ago and that's thanks to them). About the aggression of the Ottomans, if there is two differing accounts on what happened, then we leave it to Allāh. It's difficult to go into the past and place blame and make judgement with no honest comprehension (like what people do with Muawiya R.A. and Ali R.A.). If we're to be just then the critics should be for that which is present, we don't place blame on the past nor delay for the uncertain morrow, we deal with what is going on now. I believe it's a fair criticism from people if there are bad things about Saudi going on today that have to be addressed. Out of topic comment, a great example of why not to use the past as a sole justification from critic is the story of how Qais won Makkah back for the Quraysh and brought Jurhum back into Makkah (he didn't use the "my people are original from this land therefore I get to automatically kick you out and abuse you")

In the Gulf countries, your problem can be solved in the Emir’s Council through discussion in a sophisticated manner. As for London’s screams, what did it do to you? I think the most demonstrations in British history occurred after the Gaza crisis. Did it change the policy of the British government? Has the British government backed away from agendas that destroy the Muslim family? It is much better for a dear African man to live in the Malian desert while protecting his religion, his money, and his family. It is much better for him to be a doctor and not be able to raise his children. In this comparison, you are the loser.

After its unification, Saudi Arabia gave the commercial privilege to extract oil to American companies instead of English companies because they did not trust the British. Saudi Arabia participated in all Arab wars against the Israeli occupation state. These lines destroy the title.
Waiting for the next video. While I have my own reservations about the Salafi/Wahabi movement, I found the discussion very interesting and agree that we need to give people the space to express their views even though we may not always agree on everything. It encourages honest discussions. I also greatly appreciate how you didn't interrupt the Saudi gentleman or try and attack him and found that exemplary of how we should be engaging with each other. Also didn't realise the famous companion Thumamah ibn Uthal RA was also from Banu Hanifa. I was reading hadiths a while back and was shocked to realise that Hafez Al Asad and his family belong to Banu Kalb as mentioned in some of the hadiths with regard to Syria.

What he is talking about the Ottomans established a military presence in the Prophet’s city, even involving non-Muslims. Brother, you also spoke about Sultan Abdul Hamid and the heroic defense of Medina by Fakhri Pasha. Despite the blockade that cut off their supplies, Fakhri Pasha refused to surrender, even after the Ottoman Empire’s official surrender in World War I. He defended the holy city of Medina until his last breath, while some Arabs allowed and even welcomed the British into the holy land. @@socialroi2673 Good for you. Behave like the chr1stians of today. Islam was never about the individual. You need to go study. When the classical scholars, including the 4 imams, said that Caliphate is the pillar upon which all pillars rest, and without a Caliphate and Sharia implemented, Islam cannot be practiced, as things like all the judges and courts become void, the sunnah is abandoned etc., I guess they did not know your views, nor did they know about this 'version' of Islam you have, which is just peaceful interactions with the ummah, whilst many muslims around the world suffer and live under oppression. What a wasteful definition of a Leader. Musailam al Kazzab was a leader as well for the people who followed him, Abul Hakm i.e. Abu jahl was a leader for his people not for the UMMAH. RASOOL SAWS called abul Hakm Abu Jahl. Don't try to twist and turn . You are only spitting out Nationilst Bias filled with your prejudice towards YOUR LEADERS. they don't represent the Ummah. The ummah will Insha Alllah sacrifice and work hard to bring back the LEADER of this UMMAH.
This understanding has also shown historically in our tradition, in our history. For example, in Damascus when the Muslims first took control of the city and governed over the great eastern city of the Levant. They did not force anyone to follow the practices of Islam. In other words, for the three centuries that followed Muslims first entering into Damascus the majority of the occupants of Damascus, remained non-Muslim. More importantly, in India Muslims ruled over India for over 1000 years and yet for all of that time majority of people in India remained non-Muslims. So therefore, this is not a way to make Islam acceptable in an age where the majority of western media outlets have decided that Islam is the common enemy. No, this is a practice that Muslims have universally practiced as testified to by professor Thomas who is a British academic and who published a great book called “The preaching of Islam” published in 1913. And I believe that book is out of copyright protection and you can easily find it on the web in that book professor Arnold proved that Islam never spread by force. As a matter fact, he proved that every single condition where Islam spread rapidly was because of the peaceful nature of allowing other people to take it up on their own and to accept the relationship with Allah (swt) without any pressure from any institution or any government. This is testified too by the fact that today Islam is the fastest spreading religion in the world. As testified by so many statistics and so many reports.
Dissapointed to hear no push back to the saudi brother. Alot of his argument is based on we are more practicing than other countries. He's missed the fundamental point the critique of MBS is hes moving his country further away from islam...

After watching the podcast, here are my key takeaways:

You're vlog has certainly got me thinking as I too am critical of Saud and 'conservative' Islam. Unlike other commentators I have actually lived in Riyadh and found it an unsettling experience.
But what has really turned me against conservative Islam are the constant attacks I get for my mainstream beliefs on social media and in UK Masjids, when I visit.
Slowly I am beginning to realise that some (but not all) of these attacks come from India Hindus passing themselves off as Salafi. Nevertheless, I refuse to go down the rabbit hole of enemies of Islam.

There is a devide in saudi society. Some are very religious and some are the opposite. They have never been to umrah or hajj. These are the type of people that perform a transformation on the plane when traveling to Europe literally shedding their abayaahs and changing into tight western clothes.

Who cares about them, as long as your umrah was 'peaceful', right?
If you think your umrah is valid, when praying behind 'imams' who praise taghut and make dua for their long life, then you have something coming for you when you will be raised on ywm-al-qiyama
❤ you both, this was a Revalation
How embarrassing for Historyun to put this on. They are obviously on the same page as this mup pet!

The Jews of the ummah
Facts
When Al Mahdi appears and later Isa (AS), there will be no more "Saudi Arabia", right, It would return to just "Arabia". Is that right?
What a wasteful definition of a Leader. Musailam al Kazzab was a leader as well for the people who followed him, Abul Hakm i.e. Abu jahl was a leader for his people not for the UMMAH. RASOOL SAWS called abul Hakm Abu Jahl. Don't try to twist and turn . You are only spitting out Nationilst Bias filled with your prejudice towards YOUR LEADERS. they don't represent the Ummah. The ummah will Insha Alllah sacrifice and work hard to bring back the LEADER of this UMMAH.
Facts..

Yeah ?
And who is your leader of the ummah ?
Not Some British guy i hope
@@ABN_TH-cam but that I thought was the confession of a British Spy. Lol
This understanding has also shown historically in our tradition, in our history. For example, in Damascus
when the Muslims first took control of the city and governed over the great eastern city of the Levant.
They did not force anyone to follow the practices of Islam. In other words, for the three centuries that
followed Muslims first entering into Damascus the majority of the occupants of Damascus, remained
non-Muslim. More importantly, in India Muslims ruled over India for over 1000 years and yet for all of
that time majority of people in India remained non-Muslims. So therefore, this is not a way to make
Islam acceptable in an age where the majority of western media outlets have decided that Islam is the
common enemy. No, this is a practice that Muslims have universally practiced as testified to by
professor Thomas who is a British academic and who published a great book called “The preaching of
Islam” published in 1913. And I believe that book is out of copyright protection and you can easily find it
on the web in that book professor Arnold proved that Islam never spread by force. As a matter fact, he
proved that every single condition where Islam spread rapidly was because of the peaceful nature of
allowing other people to take it up on their own and to accept the relationship with Allah (swt) without
any pressure from any institution or any government. This is testified too by the fact that today Islam is
the fastest spreading religion in the world. As testified by so many statistics and so many reports.
Dissapointed to hear no push back to the saudi brother.
Alot of his argument is based on we are more practicing than other countries. He's missed the fundamental point the critique of MBS is hes moving his country further away from islam...
Not to mention what mbs did in Yemen. Ironic he's now taking about famines
Every very interesting it is good to heard from Saudi side rather than Just criticism
Balance and perspective only adds to the depth and meaning of any dialogue (and not debate).
Barakallahu Feekum
let’s not forget why we are here. The racist and prejudice remarks that has been wrongfully used against My people, my ancestors, and our history and have been labeled unfairly, from Madkhali to Wahabi, to zionist, without regard for our sacrifices or struggles and achievements. even after I presented the facts many have already made up their narrow mind with hate and prejudice Yet, I didn’t act with resentment I acted with purpose and unity.
I didn’t call out others or undermine their history. I chose My path based on My values and the values I was raised upon.
let me make this clear, We are here not to apologize but to clarify, to stand by our legacy with pride. Aligning end goals was noble at one point but only if the participants had respected the truths.
As for some I will expose hypocrisy and not hold back truths even if they seem conformational.
See you all Tuesday.
