These were purchased by UTA for the 35M MAX route on 3500S from Millcreek Station to Magna in the SLC suburbs, and they were nearly exclusively used on that route. It was the UTA's first attempt at BRT. Fun fact, it is one of the only true low-floor buses on the market, since it's low-floor from front to back (no steps anywhere other than some seats. The spoiler-looking thing at the front is part of the engine cooling system. This particular unit is ex-09103 and I was always under the impression was a 2009-build, but may have been a 2010 model (as it was explained to me, it was towards the end of the year and they may not have been registered until 2010). Man if I had 10+ grand laying around I'd love to take this off your hands for the sole reason of preserving it. I don't think we're gonna see many more Van Hool transit coaches in the USA. This is a really neat bus. I could probably show you on the map exactly where it caught that fire hydrant, though it could have also been a large rock lol.
Good ole UTA MAX bus. I use to ride these everyday. Engine is mid mounted. Makes good power. Lots vibrations and rattles due to all the plastic inside other than that excellent Transit bus rides rough roads very well very smooth.
ERICK, IT’S YOU AGAIN, YALL ARE FANTASTIC
What bus will be completely square? Plz reply
