@@Dr.Thomas_Elliot indeed!!! we need this guy to come back, II had a few guitar students that wanted to play that one and his version of blinded by light FFXIII, I was able to pull of the latter, but battle on the big bridge, was something else. I may do a tutorial on the FFXIII someday. The guy is amazing.

My favourite part of the song was in the beginning of the Jenova sequence where it looked like he made an error and was out of time with the scale, but in fact was doing it for effect. AHHHH.
ACTUALLY he does show his face in the VI-VII part 1 video when transitioning to the VII battle theme! Though I did just figure it out today after watching him since '08...
So much more depth than Black Mages, stunning technique blah blah but we all know that already. This performance just rocks so hard it's unbelievable. Eargasm!

+TommyEVOLUTION well to be specific its D harmonic minor. As for technique he pretty much just descends from A to E and plays a Bb between each note as a pedal tone. If you're into that neoclassical vibe check out Yngwie Malmsteen, I"m not a big fan of him but thats literally all he plays
