We played this my Sophomore year for Percussion Ensemble Competition. Still is the best PE I have ever heard. We did terrible at the audition but the judge liked the song so much that he personally drove all the way to our school for 4 hour after school practices every week (I think he lived in Central Florida where we are in Northeast FL, at least an hour drive.) I played the triangle. He focused in on every individual player, intent on perfecting us. But the year was 2020. We never went to Competition. It was supposed to be the last day of spring break, and Coronavirus hit that week. I'm a Senior now, and since we are finally doing Comp this year again, I am going to ask my band director if we can do Marching Season again. It feels like Unfinished Business.
@@galaxy7938 we didn't end up playing it again, this year it was Flight to Turkey which is also a great song but not as good as Marching Season. Business yet unfinished
I played this Freshman year in high school... I remember how excited I was to have nailed that solo part on 3rd Marimba and I still get excited every time I hear this piece... ...Did I mention I am a freshman in college now? haha
So sadddddd...I'm a senior at my high school and we were planning on playing this piece for a competition but apparently another high school is also doing this piece and since our conductor was nice she let them take it. Uwaaaaaaa I really wanted to play this one...
well "Piano Kammy" There are plenty of instruments in the oringinal rendition, this is made up of completely percussion instruments. Also please don't bring up what family pianos are in cause that is complicated as hell.

Bruh I had to play the wind chimes, mark tree and tambourine for this
At least you only had to play those! I played those three and everything else in that percussion part. I've never multitasked so hard since.

@MrBadmusiq i wrote on my part 123 12 12 over and over again so i imagine that suddenly having it in 7/4 would suck

@michaeljcaboose42 I know exactly how you feel, but the keyboard parts for this are insane, so im not too mad about it.

Played Marimba 3 my freshman year, killed the solo section!
I'm a freshman on the glock and I love it
Any bass players here?
It's a little stupid to call it a "percussion edition" when the piece was written for piano: a percussion instrument.
well piano and orchestra
Piano is not strictly a percussion instrument, it’s also classified as a string instrument, piano is really it’s own class
I'm playing timpani
