Gee the clarity of that first river is amazing. I bet every Flyfisher man out there would love that at the bottom of their backyard.

I continue to be jealous of the sheer size of these river rainbows. Here in the Intermountain West of the United States, those would be lifetime heroic if caught out of our local waters.
    As always, nice video!

I am beyond jealous of you man! Full trout bum in an amazing place. The scenery and water are where it all comes together for me, the fish would just be a bonus! Great video mate, cheers!

Great vid. Spent 6 weeks on the South Island in 2005 trekking and fishing solo. Amazing land and reminds me a lot of Northern California where I live. Best channel on YT.

Great vid and sick drone footage and sounds Gareth!
Love the comedy act at the end where you run back for your GoPro as if you'd forgotten it 🤣

Man those rivers are so stunning. The run back for the camera at the end is classic. A little bit of insight on the extra stuff you do to make good content.

You are a troutbum now so there is no right or wrong, a troutbum goes the way the nose points to see what's there no mather how good or bad the fishing is at your present location:) Nice vid from a totally different river compared to what we are used to see. Good stuff:)

The water down there is stunningly so clear. Fishing with Cicadas is so much fun, got to do some on the Green River in Utah last year. Have a vid about it on my channel

I may be way off, but I am pretty sure I pulled lures (spin fishing) past no less than a dozen fish sitting along that edge where you caught that last fish. I can remember being able to see the shadow of my 4lb leader on the bottom the water was so clear. I reckon I could see the fish laughing at me and saying "you're kidding yourself".

Slow down man your stressing me out with how you approach these fish. Relax enjoy the fact you actually get to fish at all. Most of us don’t get to fish waters like this. It just seems your so hyped to catch fish your not enjoying the surroundings
