    "Would you like to build a ... database...?" Seriously, now I understand just why I would want to work with a db instead of just a spreadsheet. This guy is oddly convincing. Like...I feel like I should go spread the word now or something...

  • @mindenatom
    @mindenatom 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Came with a hope for "better than average at best lecture about db" found unexpectedly good performance. The importance of the topic, the weight of it, the power. He is great.

    A genius breakdown of the need for a system to manage data. 'not just a place to put data, we have to ensure that it(data) can grow and still manageable and secure. A system ensures only correct data is fed' genius 👏👏👏

    I have two tables: Employee and Department Fields of Employee : id, name, dept_id Fields of Department: dept_id, name
    I need a query which fetches me department name and number of employees per department along with it, even if number of employees for a department is zero.
    I tried the query below, but it returns only those departments which have number of employees more than zero.
    select d.name, count(e.id) as "Number of employees per department"
    from department d, employee e
    where d.DEPT_ID=e.DEPT_ID
    group by d.name
    order by count(e.id) desc;
    Please help.

    I am very sorry to say that your speed of speech is so much fast that we
    here at south Asian student cannot follow you during the lectures. It
    is humbly requested that your lecture pace may be made at least 50%
    slower for those whose mother tongue is not English. This applies to
    most of the other lecturers found on the internet. The students start to
    listen with passion but the lecturer's speed of speaking is so much
    fast that students leave the lecture after a few minutes. Kindly do the
    needful and oblige. Thanks.
