    Good video, thanks. I'm about to go into an elevator union apprenticeship and want to protect myself from all the regular and concrete/silica dust on construction sites.

    Having a beard reduces the filtration efficiency. However some filtration is better than none, but you need to be aware of this fact. You are at higher risk when you have a beard.

      Short facial hair, such as stubble or a light beard, can still allow a dust mask to adequately seal to filter harmful particulates due to the design of the mask. Most dust masks, like N95 respirators, have a flexible nose bridge and adjustable straps that allow for a snug fit against the face. This tight seal helps prevent particles from bypassing the filtration system, even with minimal facial hair. However, longer or thicker facial hair may interfere with the seal, reducing the effectiveness of the mask. Knowing how to test the effectiveness of the seal is important regardless of facial hair length. Not new to any of this.
