That cutscene is so beautiful. Damn...I really hope that Larian will give us a REAL happy ending for her. I mean, I would go to hell with her any day but I feel like the choice to go to Avernus with her is only the second best thing. Karlach deserves a real happy end. One where you are able to find a solution for the engine problem so that she can live her life the way she wants to.
this is main reason going to Avernus, if you listen to her carefully you will know that Zariel have cure for Karlach, i hope Avernus ending will be expanded to do it

While I love the option to kiss Karlach as soon as her engine is tuned up, part of me thinks that the hug option would be more.... Idk, not intimate but something close to that. Like imagine, not being able to touch anything for so long and for the first time in years, you get to feel someone in your arms without the fear of burning them and so the hug would just feel more appropriate in a situation such as this. Don't get me wrong, I fully planted one on Karlach the moment I could, this is just my two sense on it

Playing coop w/ friends and hadn’t gotten to chat her up much. Dammon fixed her & when given the option to hug or touch, I went with the latter and my dude just pats her shoulder like a child 😅. My group roasted me for getting friendzoned lol, but I am curious as to whether or not this is the case though?
I hit a wall sometime after getting the first infernal iron piece w/ Dammon. Couldn’t really advance a convo but we were in good standing. Also it’s 3 players and 1 npc so the one controlling the extra slot seems to naturally build the most affinity. That was not me.

This is directed to anyone familiar with this Universe or the whole DND thing in general. Couldn't Karlach just appeal to one of the gods of light and plead for help or mercy? Explaining her story, her suffering, all the good she has done and all she wants is to be able to live (possibly with the person she loves) should be enough to get some kind of reaction?
Unfortunately, the dnd Gods don't really respond to people who aren't their devoted followers. So unless she becomes a powerful cleric, gods helping her is very unlikely
It's a case of game mechanics and narrative clashing. Sure, in dnd, you can just revive people for the right price, but narratively, it would make her whole story arc carry far less weight
@@RenegadeYunfortunately it's more of a case of developers forcing drama and ignoring context. The thing is, for high level Heroes death is merely a problem not the end - there are numerous ways tou could deal with her heart, but developers simply prevent you, and force her arc to be tragic.
Man, in my playthrough I went with the biggest sized male Dragonborn character and I never realized just how massive Karlach is because I was about the same size. Now I’m seeing other people’s normal sized characters with her and they look tiny lol.
I have a sin to confess: I literally walked out of that weird house (in the blighted village) that is the first objective of finding infernal iron. Went inside the house, saw the big hole full of spider webs and thought "this ain't gonna be good... at ALL" (for context, I have severe arachnophobia), but when I went in the basment, blew up the wall and realized that I would probably have to waltz into a spider den to retrieve either the iron itself or a key to that fancy chest that probably has the iron, I just FUCKIN' BAILED. Not asking for spoilers, but I REALLY don't want to deal with spiders until I start blasting people at the goblin camp. I will make up with Mama K and pay for my sins, even if it means going toe to... well... legs... I guess... with spiders.
Game looks great from All the cutscenes and makes you want to play it. But I just don't like turn based games or the whole roll the dice thing. Love all the cutscenes.
I recently started playing it, not a fan of turn based games but the longer I play Im getting more and more used to the combat and finding it fun, definitely worth it
Before this game I never played turned based and I was scared I wouldn't enjoy it but ngl I really do like it. Lots of strategy involved. I downloaded the WASD mod to make it at least similar to what I'm used to when walking and exploring. Maybe try that and see if you enjoy it

Tbf im surprised the lord of the first layer of avernus is free from Bel and is in posession of information on how to create hellfire let alone an engine. Then again ive only played with 3.5 dnd.
Romance is completely optional, though it'd be a tiny waste of a cast of genuinely decently written characters if you didn't explore that side. There's tons of things to do in the game, become a squid, kill a god, kill demons, become a bear, steal, massacre innocents, kick a squirrel to death, etc.
Karlach (red) was sold in the hells her heart was replaced. Escaped the hells on a ship gets infected by tadpole meets Brenda (Tav/MC) they like each other find Dammon says he needs a part to "fix" heart since its a machine and to hot and will explode. Find said part give to dammon says she needs go back to hell so no boom
‘Can we go to bed now?’ She’s so cute.

Devine Intervention could work. Also - wish (lvl 9 spell) could work, if phrased properly. Also - True Polymorph colud just change her form / race
