Thanks for posting this. I used to snorkel in clear streams in the Ozarks and SE Oklahoma to watch the darters, sunfishes and shiners. So many people are completely unaware of the beauty of our native fishes and the complexity of their lives and systems.
Thanks Erling, I appreciate that. Tough to catch anything this year, some rivers spawning activity was late, some early and all of it over very quickly it seemed. Better luck next year! I was hoping to catch Silver shiner at Glenorchy but but didn’t even see one, water was fairly turbid in May though.
Only caught the tail end of it this year, they were late starting because of cool nights and low water temps in May followed by a short flurry of activity towards the end of the month. Almost missed it completely with only a couple active sites when I was there. Thanks for watching!

@@stevenoakes7991: I've readed some things about notropis, blue headed chub etc. Very cool that they spawn together.
