Fun fact from an ex cast member at studios:
The reason they can’t use the Chinese theater as the icon is because it’s a legitimate landmark and therefore they can’t promote the false one in HS. That’s why Tower is the icon
Another fun fact is half of the lion king was animated at HS but they don’t know which half
That bit of trivia about the color schemes in both Galaxy's Edges is why the Imagineers are my heroes. It's that level of attention to detail that just astounds me.
AJ, I love the idea of making a "seasonal" Railway ride theme!!! That would be so cool - and can you imagine the merchandise opportunities for that? lol It's too bad that we don't get a special Haunted Mansion like Disneyland does, but it would be so cool to have the projections at Railway be a little Holiday-ish ... I mean, adding some spooky pumpkins, some X-mas lights or dreidels, etc... it's Disney, and their CM's can make anything happen!
I bet that happens first in Disneyland, where more locals visit. That's why the Haunted Mansion Holiday "The Nightmare before Christmas" is there but not in the Magic Kingdom.
I was lucky enough to attend the Drawing classes with the artists, way back when it was still MGM (which, of course, I still call it that)... it was a hidden gem of an experience, and my sister and I did four sessions back-to-back (we drew Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and Mickey). I loved that whole section in the Animation Courtyard... I wish they had kept it, such a cool experience we'll never forget.
We loved the animation classes too! I have several drawings signed from the instructors still! And I call it mgm too! Lol
I remember doing that too and I LOVED it!!! I was so disappointed to discover years later that it was gone!

No. I used to ride it every trip because everyone else was. Now I say, no, because I HATE THAT RIDE.
Ernest Saves Christmas! Love that movie.. When he’s driving on the freeway, you can kind of see some of the Disney World signs!!
I remember the Superboy TV series from the late ‘80s was filmed there, too. There was a scene where Superboy was chasing a car with a monorail track in the background.
On rock n rollercoaster, you can hear a special version of "Love in an Elevator" made just for the ride titled "Love in a Rollercoaster"
The Tower of Terror movie is soooo underrated. Its not even on Disney+ 🙁

i rented it from netflix dvd like two years ago as i couldnt find it anywhere else, its so good, and seriously has effected my dreams since i was a kid, i cant wait to ride the actual ride some day lol
That movie made me scared of elevators and then I got on the ride and then was super scared of them.😭😭 One of the best movies!

I'm interested in this reoccurring dream! Because it is reoccurring I believe it (obviously) relates to your continued relationship with the parks, but knowing how you feel in the dream could reveal more about its meaning.

The water tower should never been removed

I know a lot of people prefer the view without the big sorcerers hat there and I completely understand why but I really loved that hat there
I never new Hollywood was suppose to be part of Epcot.I loved the Great movie ride, but I’m even more excited about Mickeys rail way.
Yes the 200ft limitation before requiring an aircraft obstruction light is a FAA regulation. The castle in MC is identified as 197ft above ground level. From the front it is much taller than that. In true Disney magic the regulatory measurement is done from the rear where the "ground level" is the same as the castle tunnel exit. Significantly higher than the front.
AJ, I hope everything's still going well for you all with Disney World's lessened attendance and restrictions! We love listening to your great advice as we prepare for our Disney trips! We miss you and the parks SO MUCH!

Something I noticed on accident on my last visit was a billboard on Sunset Blvd. advertising Paradise Pier (Pixar Pier) at Disney California Adventure. It was a cool nod considering Disneyland California is my home park

People who miss Great Movie Ride, would be complaining today still because the ride would be abandoned since social distancing and covid regulations. Also you missed fact that the current Chinese Theater blueprints are closer to Disney World version because when renovations for Theater in LA used replica blueprints since they were up to modern building codes.
YES, we did Chewie mode in Disneyland. Took several tries and a cooperative cast member. Heading to DW on Saturday, expect Chewie mode will be tricky with social distancing.

My wife and I miss The Great Movie Ride and The Backlot tour. Our son loved the way cool Lights Action Motor show with Lightning McQueen. So fun. My wife worked there in college in 2002 and remembers a lot of that stuff. She's always showing off
We were there all day today! We had the Cobb salad at Brown Derby so that was great to learn. We got on Rise of the Resistance in the afternoon. We really enjoyed the whole park.

I watched that one growing up also. AJ has much to young and pretty voice to be old!!
I guess I am old because I remember Disneyland opening in 1955.
I lived less than 14 miles from the park. I could see the fireworks from my house.
If you're in Animal Kingdom you can see the Hollywood Tower from Expedition Everest during the first highest climb if you look out to the left. Then to the left of Hollywood Tower you can also see Spaceship Earth. Unfortunately, Magic Kingdom is to your back so you can't see the castle or anything else from Expedition Everest. So, at least you can see 3 of the 4 parks from the ride.
Also, there is one more barcode on Slinky Dog Dash, and that has to deal with the years that all the Toy Story Lands opened around the world. I believe that barcode is right at the end of the ride below Wheezy. It has been a couple of years now (thanks COVID :( ) since I have been on the ride.
I remember The Great Movie Ride and really miss it. I will have to look for the Easter Eggs on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Thanks for another interesting & informative video AJ.

My wife and I were there in 1991. Only a few years removed from it's opening, it was still as it was when it first opened. My wife's highlight . . . on the back lot tour, seeing one of the stunt cars from ABC's "drama-dy" Hardcastle and McCormack. She loved that show.

I went to Hollywood studios and Epcot my favorite in Hollywood studios is the rocking roller coaster
Anyone remember the little play-acting movie you could do back when it was MGM, probably in the very early 90’s? My mom, dad, sister and I were chosen to act a Wild West scene (Shane & The Wild West, or something like that?) They recorded it and you got to take (probably purchase 🤑) the video home.
I miss the MGM. This park will never be the same to me without The Great Movie Ride and Backlot Tour.
We went to Hollywood studios last Feb. And went to go get a crystal. We were so lucky and the very first one we bought turned out to be a black crystal! It was so neat!

When my son was little and we were there, 2008 I think, he actually got picked to fight Darth Vader, it was the highlight of his day! We loved the drawing classes, spent hours! And the Disney dance parties

I went to Hollywood Studios back when it was MGM Studios and that backlot tours was awesome we got to go on a tour of 101 Dalmations and see how they did the bike going into the lake and also the newborn puppies that Perdy and Pongo had in the movie so cute. Fun fact the puppies weren't real puppies they were robo pups.

Nine Lives is my favorite Aerosmith song, and I was surprised and thrilled when I got it on what was at least my fourth ride. Despite being a title track you never hear it anywhere.

Favourite Aerosmith song is Magic Touch - but from the ones on the ride, F.I.N.E.! They’re my absolute favourite band, and I was gutted when RnRC shut in Paris as it’s my closest park. 😭
When they built Tower of Terror, Eisner supposedly wanted it to be actual functioning hotel but it was deemed unfeasible 🙄

Don’t give up on your dreams at the age of 11!! When I was 11 I’d never been abroad, I grew up on a council estate and never even went on holiday in the UK (not even Butlins or camping!) now I’m 26 and since I started working I’ve been to every Disney park in the whole world as well as several other countries and adventures! If you really work hard you can go to Disney no problem ♥️♥️♥️♥️

You can see the hidden mickey pretty well on the map in the disney world app.
You give very fun facts and you are hilarious! But I'll bet most folks don't have a recurring dream about staying at the haunted mansion and most of us would decline an actual invitation if it were possible. Sweet dreams AJ.

And the Country Bears movie was my childhood. I had friends over once and we watched the movie together and I said every line with the film. XD (I asked them if I could do that and they said yes because they wanted to see if I really did have the whole film down lol)

Since they added he new paper in the kyber crystals, the chances of finding a black crystal went from 1/100 to 1/5. I mean- wow that’s a huge chance difference!
