He's from Louisiana. So is my husband. Folks have that soul sound whether speaking or singing. Beautiful sound. But when my husband starts speaking cajun French, I'm so lost, but sounds good anyway!
The first time I heard this song, I was on a flight to Florida from South Korea for my dad's funeral. Daddy was a blues guitarist and I felt like this was one last jam session with him. I landed, got my rental car and went straight to the mall to buy the album. Also check out Marc's song, Jacob's Song.
Yay!!! He was around 17 when he did this. His acoustic cover of Cry To Me is...wow. His dad, who is a Louisiana Hall Of Fame Guitarist, plays with him on that song.
Lol, you better sang? Yeah, I think he's got that covered. Marc broussard is a bad bad man. He's the difference between software and laptop music, and He has real instruments and a real voice that does not need being manipulated.
Marc is a cajun, Bayou Boy. I grew-up on his Dad’s traditional cajun music. Check out his covers of Sam Cooke - I’ve been lovin you too long. Life in Southern Louisiana, jammin, singing in the yards, houses...anywhere.
He does a lot of covers of some of the old R&B greats ( Sam Cook , Otis Redding , ect ) , and does them Damned Well ! Introducing younger people to the classics of the genre .
Marc is sooooo good and deserves a lot more attention. Check out his cover of Georgia with David Grace. So much masculine soul in that one. Also, he has a fantastic cover of Cry To Me with his dad Ted Broussard who is in Louisiana hall of fame for his guitar skills.
It's. Not about black n white GOD put us 2 gather for a reason music and the south look what's here know and where we have been all along much love 2 us all in the now we all in the water
I met Marc about 20 years ago. I'm on my girls phone. Actually my name is Marc with a C as well. He lives 20 minutes from me. We were both on the scene at the same time in Lafayette Louisiana.Im a guitarist, pianist, and bassist. I'll never forget the first time I heard him sing. A few of us were hanging outside this bar drinking a beverage and Marc said yall follow me. So we go into this little side dig bar. Marc went talk to the band and sat in for a song. So we all in the front right by the band. They come in with an old Aretha Franklin song. When he opened his mouth my jaw hit the table. I know this cat. This is the real deal. We all cajuns. A very rich in music people. We both knew this cat named Jeramiah. He came up with my little brother. Always following us around. You know. Jeramiah moved down the road to Carencro, where Marc is from. They became boys in high school. Well right outtake school Jeramiah was working climbing those tall towers. One day the scaffolding broke and the fall killed him. Man that hit us hard. Marc wrote a song for Jeramiah and sang it at his funeral. Look it up. Its called Jeramiahs prayer. Some videos are titled My Prayer. Try not to cry.
One of my all time favorite covers is him covering Otis Redding “These Arms Of Mine”. It’s him on his back porch, a kid playing guitar and another one on a keyboard. He kills it! th-cam.com/video/hV5_zd8Txbo/w-d-xo.html
Like your hair today. Now that's better than any amount of money, so you can go ahead and bump my request to the top. Puscifer, the mission. Thank you🙂

Loved this song, glad you got a chance to hear it. I'd also suggest unshaken by d'angelo and bottom of the river by delta rea.
