    This would work well for a scrapbook page. Not sure it would have the same ribbon type effect on the whole 12 by 12 but it would work nice on a 3 x 12 strip as a border on a page.

      @dmhaight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes its a beautiful design as a scrapbook border!

      @@dmhaight I tried it with washi tape and it worked for the bottom layer, but to look right, the top layer needs to have the washi tape applied to card stock and then glued diagonally the other direction over the bottom layer. Otherwise, if you use just the washi tape you see a crease where the pieces overlap. Will keep playing with this fun technique...and take it to my card club as well! TFS

      @dmhaight  ปีที่แล้ว

      Instead of using washi, try strips of patterned paper and cardstock. They will be opaque and the seams & layers won't be visible.

    What a beautiful way to use up those small scraps, we never know what to do with. I love both of these cards. I was looking for this technique, I'd first watched from someone in England, but knew I couldn't make her sized pf card. I like 5" X 7" mysysfl, will work on how to do that? Maybe make a whole 12" of ribbon strip and cut off, what I need. I don't know? But, thank you so much for your vider!

    • @dmhaight
      @dmhaight  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! Small changes to sizing will easily work to adjust for a 5 x 7 card by making your base strip longer and a bit wider. And add more strips, of course.

    Loved this technique, can’t wait to try this.? Do you mind me asking what are you using to clean your stamps?

    • @dmhaight

      It's the Stamp Shammy, you use it with water dmhaight.closetomyheart.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=12768

    Thank you for uncomplicating the twisted ribbon technique. Being a visual, tactile person, the finished product for this confused me. THAT issue has been solved! I can see this on cards plus enlarged for scrapbook layouts. What fun I will have!!!

    Nice! Is there any reason you couldn't do this technique to cover the whole background, instead of just a small area?

    • @dmhaight
      @dmhaight  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great idea! Maybe longer skinnier strips could work...
