Love to see the old school showing up, Spirit of '76' ❤✨💫🧚🏼 Bands are all about the chemistry between those 4 or 5 people, sometimes it works, sometimes it dont, Great chat 🐝
I met Simon in a bar in Heaton Moor last year. I recognised him and started a conversation with him. Absolutely lovely, humble bloke and very engaging. Top interview 👍
What a lovely fella, sort you could have a right nice chinwag in the boozer with. Was always aware (jealously as a Brummie!) of the pre house Manchester bands and loved most of them that Peelie was playing. To me it was an easy progression when the Mondays and 808 came through around 87 and into house with the best days of my life. Great interview style Paul, love hearing about all the characters , places and lives crossing over. Subscribed so keep em coming mate.
Thanks so much Robert , yeah Simon is a top bloke, could talk to him for hours . I’ve a month’s worth of videos waiting to be released now that I will drop each week . Thanks for subscribing 😀
Absolutely mint mate! Great story. Drummers and bass players make bands great and Manchester had them in f**kin droves. Geordie's love mancs. Get Renni! 👊
@ it was a small shop but the best, always good tunes on, window full of band notices (pretty sure that’s how Devoto found McGeoch) you could get U.S imports in there, little punk hangout until it moved to the bottom of Market St in about 1978.
Great chinwag , first gig l went to was in 1972 at Southampton guildhall it was Slade , Thin Lizzy and Suzi Quatro my big sister took me as l was only 10 years old . What was your first gig ?
Wots great is the way its not a list of questions..but 2 guys having a conversation...keep it up...johnny marr would be good too ...as would mike joyce ..but separately 😂 of course.😊
