You forgot to mention that Harry and Megsy were loudly heckled on their way out of the ESPY's, some one clearly shouted go back to Britain, another shouted you're no Princess of Wales and there were some very audible boo's. It's also been commented that Harry made the vets stay on the stage with him because he knew he wouldn't be boo'ed while he used them as human shields. Harry was clearly stressed and was expecting to be boo'ed, it was also obvious that some one else apart from Megsy wrote that speech for him, allegedly it was some one within WME. So credit where it's due, if the speech was humble and gracious in any way it's not due to Megsy and her massive ego.

Katie said Harry came out admirably after his speech. They left early, never met the group of Invictus veterans there for them in the public seats, they were heckled on their way out and refused to meet with anyone outside the floor seats. They suck and you kind do too Katie.

Harry"s speech was too long, manipulative and self serving, using the veterans on stage as his crutch! Why didn't either of you mention the way H&M stood up at the front of the auditorium to leave, while someone was singing on stage, along with all of their entourage talking and shaking hands, rudely interrupting the award show in such a disruptive manner?! They didn't walk the red carpet as they were scared of being booed and asked awkward questions by the press, nothing to do with not wanting to steal the spotlight. Did Nicoll listen to the same speech as the rest of us, how is claiming they don't leave people behind admirable when both of them have dumped family, friends and even country left right and centre.
In his speech, he didn't even acknowledge who had helped and made significant monetary contributions to the creation of the Invictus Games. Without their help, the Invictus Games Charity couldn’t have come into existence for him to falsely claim that he was the founder. What an ungrateful person he is!!!.

@@FarmerJAB It's everywhere -- filmed from multiple angles (thus, from different people's phones) -- and has been reported by major US outlets like the NY Post and TMZ and many social media sites. It would be too much to describe it as a response from the whole of the audience -- but they are being heckled by individuals ("Go Back to Britain" is one, another yells "No Prince(cess?) of Wales") -- with laughter in the audience. Also, quite possibly they were mocked by the emcee who was asking them to leave before commercial break ended -- and starts joking to hand "her" a microphone. If you google videos of Harry and Meghan leaving the EPSY's early -- I think you'll find quite a bit uploaded by people who were there, and it shows Harry is not winning over the US market quite yet, that's for sure.

Agree with so many of the comments here. I thought Harry’s speech was predictable and self-serving. If there was genuine respect for Mrs Tillman he would have declined the award immediately she expressed her opinion. That would have won him some brownie points with the public. He has a very short term way of seeing the world - people have good memories for princes behaving badly.
The difference between Princess Catherine and Prince Harry’s old wife was staggering from Wimbledon to the ESPY Awards. Princess Catherine received a standing ovation from a totally full arena, Prince Harry’s old wife was TOLD not to breathe too much and use up the oxygen in an arena that seemed to have more empty seats that filled. All in my humble opinion that is.

Katie has been very critical of H&M in the past especially following the Oprah interview. But she and many if not most of the Royal reporters have really taken in down many notches. I've often wondered if this is on instruction by the Palace as not to fuel the wrath of H&M.
I don't agree with Katie on this one. Harry should have said he would only accept the award on behalf of Invictus if the award went to the organization and no him individually. No matter what he said on stage the award had HIS name on it so its all about him. A complete blunder all around!

It was a terrible speech. He continues to pretend he created Invictus all by himself. Per his book his 10 yr military "career" was really a global pub crawl. He didn't get into Sandhurst on his own. He couldn't pass his pilots test, he was a gunner. He was never anywhere near combat per people who were there all of the photos were a PR exercise. Per Harry's book the only time he saw anything horrible was on the plane ride home. Before M the palace managed his image and him. The speech included unnecessary detail about Mandela's favorite poem because he always has to connect himself to Mandela and Diana. Stop perpetuating the image the Royal Family created for him. He isn't a hero, he was never in danger although he did endanger others. Per Barbara Barnes Harry was born angry and it has been a life long challenge to manage him. He was born wrong in the head and no one more suitable than Meghan would agree to marry him. Stop praising H&M's self serving schemes for praise. You guys look ridiculous when you do it. Meghan bullied Charlotte, they both bullied their staff and they support the Sussex Squad that has continuously gone after Catherine. A former Sussex Squad member showed the comparison between Catherine's and Meghan's accomplishments before the wedding. Catherine had 3 and Meghan's included all of her fake charitable achievements that were nothing more than photo ops which actually put her on the spot with the royal family because she knew nothing.

Harry's comments were passive aggressive towards Tilman's Mother, and of course, incorporated a reference to his own mother. And to add the cherry on top of the insult sundae, they left early, which exhibited incredible disrespect to the other recipients and to the audience.
H accepting the award was a circus. It was a terrible speech, shading Pat Tillman’s mother, invoking his own. Using disabled veterans as a human shield, making them stand there in case he got booed. Leaving the ceremony early - something that is just not done - standing chatting when the ceremony was ongoing. I agree with the woman who shouted ‘she is no Princess of Wales’. And Harry no longer behaves like a Royal - he doesn’t know the meaning of service or valour.

Harry didn’t do 2 full tours of duty. His first tour was cut short because the media reported that he was there. I think he was there less than a week the first time.

I noticed that the cameras did not go onto the Royal box, which I totally agreed with. The Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte and Auntie Pippa were just able to watch and enjoy the tennis. However, it was so nice to see the Princess of Wales looking so good.

I watched in horror and was aghast, when Harry IMMEDIATELY after he gave his Pat Tillman award acceptance speech, walked off the stage and BOTH Megan and Harry LEFT the auditorium, like a bat out of hell! H&M made a "big show" about abandoning the ESPY event as soon as they got their grubby hands on the trophy. It was VERY bad taste and profoundly RUDE to quickly "bolt" and split like a bat out of hell and leave the auditorium. Refusing to meet with the veterans, refusing to stay in their seats and watch the rest of the ESPY awards event, very bad taste, incredibly rude!

Come on! They didn’t walk the red carpet not be humble but to avoid the inevitable booing! To thank his “allies” and “friends” in his speech had Meghan’s signature all over it. Neither of them have a humble or authentic bone in their bodies, he gave a speech he thought was what people needed to hear from him, not because he is genuine.
In the beginning I was a fan of H&M. Now…NO NO NO NO!!!! They are their own worst enemies. I watch because I’m waiting for the big train wreck.

If Harry had really respected Mary Tillman, he would have declined the award, acknowledging that he didn't deserve the award, which he didn't. He was not gracious at all, his speech was very passive-aggressive. He also demanded that the other recipients stay on stage so that he could deflect the disapproval of him. Harry and his wife also left right after he got the award, letting everyone know how much they disdained the rest of the recipients. They were also blocking the stage from everyone's view in a most disrespectful and inconsiderate way, stopping to chit chat and talk to people while the event was still going on. How can Ms. Nicoll see anything admirable in that is shocking.
His true lack of RESPECT he showed in actually accepting this award after what Pat Tillman mother's said. Is his true nature and along with victim narrative with his wife.
I think Harry should get an award like this later in his life, it makes it obvious that the Markles are on a list of reality stars that are willing to show up for a prize. This has been going on since they left the uk. I believe that Meghan and Serena have the same agent and it’s clear that there is a need to keep the Markles brand close to sports and veterans…..some agent sent Harry to give that NFL award the day after his emergency flight to see his father after the cancer diagnosis, that was an obvious stunt. I think that when an award is so sincerely named for a very special person it just feels wrong for this to be just another behind the scenes negotiation to leverage a PR and branding opportunity

That is a complete misread of the Tillman Award and speach. Every person I’ve spoken to here in America thought it was self-centered and disrespectful. Even people who normally couldn’t care less about the Sussexs’ thought accepting the award, the speach, the mention of Mary Tillman and bringing it back his loss, leaving early, and demanding the veterans stay on stage behind him was disgusting.
It's never going to play well for an American audience when you disrespect the wishes of a Gold Star mother. There is a sacrosanctness there that you simply do not violate.

Ffs, the Poundland Prince was not called 'bunker Harry" for no reason, look at films of him in Afghanistan, his uniform is clean, neat and tidy, no dirt on his shoes, everybody else is dusty, dirty etc. Ask those who served at the same time, he bunked off when there were drug tests and he only appeared at weekends. He's a designer soldier wearing the uniform but not doing the work. William was in greater danger as an Air Rescue pilot, also Harry failed his pilots licence THREE TIMEE.

They also rudely left 30 minutes early and were disruptive doing so. I think other foundations should beware of involving them because they could be Harkled, IMO.
