Wow, great reaction at 7:25, that was a close one. Great to see some more GoPro footage of the FCR Velodrome Experience, hopefully we will be able to race there with everyone eventually.
Interesting how all the Velomobiles in the race have converged on a similar design, which is quite different from the most successful European velomobiles. Strange too that the Ausi design has far more glazed area. I understand that since the Vector in the 80s, which had a bubble canopy, it was found that extensive glazing lets in too much solar heating, which I thought would be even more of an issue there. I wonder if the symptoms you experienced at the end of the race were heat related?
Thanks for the comment 🙂 maybe there is a difference in competition rules and how they're used as well? These are pretty exclusive for racing and not public road use (you can but it's not very safe or popular). These are mostly very reclined, our line of sight is between our knees rather than euro which seems to have head above the knees??
