A truly independent film about a truly interdependent Shaman. :) A place where woman centered power is thriving. All together and for everyone. Imagine that. Simple, direct and sensitive. It’s refreshing to be reminded of what good journalism looks like, which is staying out of the way so the story can tell itself. Great camera work and sound. The music tracks actually enhanced the storyline. Brava! Many thanks..
I'm so happy to see a film made by a woman about a female shaman. This is very important. Beautiful work -- I love the Shipibo and the medicine and have benefited greatly from their songs, the plants and the deep tradition that I hope is able to survive.
Yes, a beautiful piece I loved this so much as well, created by a woman about a woman. Truly incredible. Thank you again. I have shared with many amazing friends and communities who have greatly benefited from the energy of these plants, and this work.
I'm only 20 minutes in. This film needs to be seen by more people. This is an exceptional work of art. I am fascinated by ayahuasca, shamanism, healing, the amazon, culture, and anthropology. This is literally the exact type of documentary I love. So glad I came upon an ad on instagram for this. Will certainly watch the whole film. Thank you to the filmmaker!
If more people went out of their body and experienced them selves as animals they would better understand shamanism and the connection to everything when the self is trancesended as one. There is however places we wish not to see. Mind is the illusion or the trap, to the greater extent of what we are capable when we merge with the soul.
This is true and I appreciate seeing this authentic Shaman woman in her natural surroundings and I especially loved seeing how she gathered the herbs for the medicine.❤
Beautiful film letting the jungle sing and the people be as they are with the soft voice over. The ending when the man bowed in reverence towards the shaman was deeply felt. Thank you for sharing.
I am going to the Aya Madré Healing Center in Iquitos this November 24th 2024 for an extended plant medicine retreat. I had seen the movie ‘’ The song that calls you home ‘’ but I am now thrilled to watch this ‘’ She is a shaman ‘’ documentary couple days before I take off this this plant medicine journey with Maestra Estella. Thank you for sharing this. Deep love. Marc
Estella is a very special lady... I had my very first cup of medicine with her in 2016 right before she started her center and she was still dealing with her abusive husband. So lovely to see how she is doing now! And shedding a short insight on the issue with the younger generations to continue down this path. Thank you for bringing her story and work in such a nice, yet raw, but very clear way.🙏💚
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. She spoke about him a bit with us (and I mentioned it in the doc as well, of course) - but it's interesting that you were there during that period. She was very gracious in sharing herself with us.
@victorialynncarroll Well I met her at Dreamglade. She didn't had her center yet. So this is a huge change to see. I heard she opened her own place from the people of the other center and to see it now after all those years, amazing! Wishing you good luck with your projects and journey 😉
Did she heal her abuse trauma ? I would like to do ayahuasca but I delay it for years because I don't want to do it with a man. I know that there are a lot of abuse and spiritual attacks while your field is open.
@@sabrinad3679 That's part of the job... Those things can not really be avoided and are not a big problem when you sit in a safe space with the right person. Estella is a good place to go if you don't want to drink with a man.

Takes me back to my time in the Peruvian Jungle, where I sat with a 4th generation plant medicine healer for many (alternating) nights..............These Shipibo men and women were truly Curanderos......Healers, who use all manner of plant medicine, not just Aya, to assist people. Such a dramatically difference approach and result from sitting with the Ayahuasca Tourism which has become so prevalent in the Amazon (young people from all over the planet who have very limited experience with the medicine, yet charge a premium to serve Aya to people)..................so great to see this doc - hope it reaches all the right people • such a powerful medicine, at a time when the world truly needs it's insights....................best wishes from the Canadian Wilderness.............
Stunning in very way. Great cinematography and a nice balance of vistas and story telling. Also a great narrating voice. Beautiful, truly something to be proud of. God bless.
I have been on my own healing journey for the last 12 years. I have been training under two very powerful woman shamans. They have taught me how to reconnect with my heart, soul and innate power through shamanism and love after half a lifetime of suffering from every kind of trauma. I never would use ayahuasca because I don’t need to, but I understand those that try to help themselves through the use of it. I also found it interesting when you said that they burn the plastic and it cleanses the center. This is a fine example of how our power of intention and our perceptions are so very important. We can also heal beautiful Mother Earth and every living being through shamanism, if we can survive the breakdown of the old systems and the people who want to power over people and everything else. Intention, knowing ourselves, living from our heart center and intuition and understanding we are all one is so important in the leveling up of consciousness. Wonderful movie and well-made!!! 🪶🩵
This was awesome! The opening felt like I was really tripping. The end ceremony was very intense. I need to recover. Also, her house surprised me to be honest. Her life is very interesting and not what I expected.

I had my first Ayahuasca experience with Shavora! Also women. Omg so powerful, their whole energy & voice. Look them up! 🔥 So grateful for this sacred medicine
Wow! This is a beautiful piece of artwork. This woman is the embodiment of what it means to be feminine. My statement has nothing to do with sex or gender. My statement is purely speaking about human energy.
If u are foreign to the rainforest, please do everyone a favor and chase other pursuits. Western people have no business claiming to be able to take people on an authentic ayahuasca ceremony/journey. ✨🙏✨👌🏾❣️🌹❣️💖💝💖
My vision showed me that my spirit animal is the sacred hamster. It showed me how to contemplate life whilst nibbling on sacred sunflower seeds. In my mind I saw it running on the sacred exercise wheel of time. We are all that hamster; running eternally; nibbling, nibbling, until the end of time. Oha! It is so!

That's why I want a woman as a shaman. Because ego's men create destruction. They claim to be shamans but still live in shadow
Reddit brought me here
Nice :)
Every single decision of your entire life brought you to this monent . . Namaste
@@johnellis1119 Every one of Nathan Fielder's decisions lead me to this moment.
Same!
Same :)))
Such a great film 🙏
Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤
I enjoyed watching it. The feminine touch and approach makes it very palpable. You captured the spirit of the Amazon, the medicine and the beautiful Shipibo tribe.
Good to see a shipibo Maestra in charge ♥️🌱💫🐆🔥
I truly appreciate you watching!
Very beautiful. We can learn so much from indigenous people and i pray that they can live in freedom, peace and connection with nature. And that they get respected and heard.
Very interesting!
:)

This was an amazing experience for ME, and I cannot fathom what it must have been like for to be there in person! Truly incredible! What an incredible journey !!! I may someday go and sit with them, as well. Wow…. Just WOW. I’m a Reiki Master and Shamanism fascinates me!
Thank you so much for watching!
I had my first Ayahuasca experience with Shavora! Also women. Omg so powerful, their whole energy & voice. Look them up! 🔥
So grateful for this sacred medicine
I will - thank you!
Thank you
Thank you
Super reportage.
Thank you!
Wow! This is a beautiful piece of artwork.
This woman is the embodiment of what it means to be feminine. My statement has nothing to do with sex or gender. My statement is purely speaking about human energy.
I really appreciate your thoughtful comment!
Great watch! Thank you ❤
Thank you so much for watching.
This was beautiful, the song at the end put me to sleep 😴 💤
Ha, that's the ...opposite of most I've heard from!
@victorialynncarroll that's crazy, I wonder what the intention of that song is? Do you happen to know by any chance?
excellent film, Irake! ❤
Thank you!
Thank you. That was truly beautiful.
I really appreciate you watching - thank you!
@@victorialynncarroll I bought you some coffees. Your sound recordist was incredible!
¡Hermoso trabajo! Sólo el Altísimo, el arte y la medicina pueden explicarse a sí mismos. Buena pinta, Victoria.
Thank you!
Fantastic movie, really enjoyed it, heading to Costa Rica, thank you for this.
Wishing you the best!
I want to be a shaman. Thanks for creating this.
Thank you for watching
No, you really don’t.
If u are foreign to the rainforest, please do everyone a favor and chase other pursuits. Western people have no business claiming to be able to take people on an authentic ayahuasca ceremony/journey. ✨🙏✨👌🏾❣️🌹❣️💖💝💖

It's not something our ego decides. The plant chooses us.

Beautiful film💟
It takes me back to Iqitos and brings back memories
That's lovely
My vision showed me that my spirit animal is the sacred hamster. It showed me how to contemplate life whilst nibbling on sacred sunflower seeds. In my mind I saw it running on the sacred exercise wheel of time. We are all that hamster; running eternally; nibbling, nibbling, until the end of time. Oha! It is so!
