After the great flood, God sent Noah a message with a dove. But in Texas, He sent a hummingbird; for he knew if he sent a dove, it'd end up stuffed with a jalapeño and wrapped in bacon.
I don't comment much but if you like the dove wraps then you need to try this...almost the same exact thing except use deer back strap sliced to bite size pieces roll it up in foil so the bacon gets a little crispy same deal with the cream cheese and peppers
pranker901 I’ve worn blue jeans while hunting birds. And I’ve worn white tee shirts while hunting deer. They don’t really care as long as it isn’t moving
Trent McKenzie it was probably a small deer then because it is important also sent control is also something you need to worry about so you don’t spook them
Brings back memories of when I used to live in Austin. Jalapeno bacon wrapped dove breast is a special treat. My mouth is literally watering. The bad news is no dove season in N Y..
Our season here in iowa starts in a couple of hours and im so flippin pumped! Im carrying an old side by side .410, so wish me luck on hitting anything. Great video, I enjoyed watching all the shooting.
I'd say the bass tremble at the mention of your name. The doves? Well, I'd say they just say Lakeforkguy? Who's that? Lol Good video. Really enjoyed it.👍🏻👍🏻
I know this is from last year but first time seeing it while gearing up for Dove opener 2019. We do something similar with the dove. We debone the breast, stuff it in the jalapeno with cream cheese or pepper jack (sometimes we will put a date or fig in it as well) then we wrap the the jalapeno with the bacon then bake them or cover them on the BBQ. I know it takes a little more time and effort but man is it worth it! We like to take them up to deer camp the following month.
LFG I really enjoyed this video. It’s never a bad time hunting dove in Texas your video took me back to a few good hunts I’ve had before. Keep up the great work bud!
What up Haus? That ole 16 knocked the crap outta ya...... We have a single shot 16 gauge with a 34'' barrel that has been threw 4 generation of my family that we call the "Mule". Once you shoot a 16 for a season you can just go on ahead to a double barrel 10gauge LOL 😂 😂😂
This reminds me of the dove hunts I enjoyed in Utah. At the tickville ponds We had hundreds of thousands of acers of dry farm wheat around us. Last time I went there it was subdivisions.
My absolute 2 favorite Texas tubers. Mike and Justin. Edit. I'm from gatesville. Been in the Air Force for 11 plus years and want to do some dove hunting. Fyi.....been a subscriber for years
Hello from Canada! just got out for the first time Dove hunting after watching one of your videos and shot 12 by myself! fun hunt for sure and they are delicious! keep up the good work!
Love these videos LFG ABSOLUTELY love them. Dove hunting is one of my favorite things to do even though I haven't gone in a few years I need to break out the ole Remington 1100 it's a dove killing machine...
Keep up the hunting vids. I do a lot of hunting and fishing here in Kentucky but i have yet to get in on this delicacy. I will be heading out in the field in the near future to sling some lead. Keep it up though love the videos.
my bb gun that looked like that one was a red ryder... i must have shot everything in the state with that thing ! wish i had a few dove so i could make my famous world class bacon wrapped dove bites ...but i can hunt in my back yard so i should be able to bag a few !
went dove hunting over labor day and soaked them in italian dressing before grilling them, i also soaked their HEARTS and everyone loved them , just made sure hearts were on a scewer
If you ever feel like deep frying your birds, try plucking them whole. They are wonderful and I think though there isn't much meat in dove legs or backs, I swear cooked all together they add to the flavor.
Great video! Get your hunts in now......gonna be a while once the little one makes her appearance! A grill, jalapeño, cream cheese, and bacon......a stick would tastes good with that preparation!!!!
I see why you might be having difficulty hitting the broad side of said barn. You need to get your cheek on the comb of that stock and follow through your shot (see 1:04). Was a big problem I had when I was competing in clays early on.
Skeet guys can’t help but try and correct every one else. There is at least one at every range and they are usually always shooting alone. Coincidence?
I guess you're right. It's tough to try and offer advice and not seem like you are correcting them. Here's some more advice. Try understanding what someone's intent is before you write a childish retort.
@@winkleperry8150 hitting 24 out of 25... They might be assholes, but they'll make you hit more targets, feathered or ceramic. You gotta get thicker skin to people trying to help you.
Dude! I saw an episode of Bizarre Foods and Andrew Zimmer was in California hunting dove. They shot a whole bunch of them and they kept the hearts and put them on skewers after blanching them in wine. It didn't take seconds to cook them.
Skip the cheese. Filet them, wrap it around jalapeño slice, season it, wrap it with bacon, season that, smoke em on the BBQ. I'm hooked on dove just for the eats! I use Sweet Heat by Sauce Goddess... I'll eat the feathers with that rub on
kevin j That wasn’t a Browning or a Sweet 16. It was a Remington Model 11. Don’t take this the wrong way I’m not calling you stupid or anything, you probably just weren’t paying attention to when he said what gun it was. If you did, and you’re just going off of the pattern, this is a Remington built off of the Browning pattern. The Browning A5 was and still is one of the most successful lines of shotguns ever produced, so it stands to reason that Remington would make a copy of it.
Thank GOD for all the hunting seasons we are blessed with at the end of the year, fishing videos get old.
After the great flood, God sent Noah a message with a dove. But in Texas, He sent a hummingbird; for he knew if he sent a dove, it'd end up stuffed with a jalapeño and wrapped in bacon.
Sounds like something Tim wells would say hahahah
Helllll yeahhhhhh
that's why you can't have the Olympics in Texas or Oklahoma, all the doves released would be gunned down!!
First of all America was not even discovered in Gods time. Secondly guns did not exist so this is not true.
TTV its a joke guy, lighten up
I grew up in Tucson and loved nothing more than Dove hunting! Thanks for bringing back some very sweet memories!!!
Keep hunting LFG! I'm 17 and one of my favorite things to do and watch is dove hunt, and you have great content!
The best videos are with you mike, it’s like me hunting and fishing with a buddy
I don't comment much but if you like the dove wraps then you need to try this...almost the same exact thing except use deer back strap sliced to bite size pieces roll it up in foil so the bacon gets a little crispy same deal with the cream cheese and peppers
I love guys that wear camouflage while sitting on the tail gate of a white truck.
😂😂😂
Its worthless anyways, to wear camo, most animals cant see colors, they see "movement". Its all about luck when you hunting.
@@arturozanti7262 that's not true lmao yes they see movement but they see color too, its just not as vibrant as we can see.
pranker901 I’ve worn blue jeans while hunting birds. And I’ve worn white tee shirts while hunting deer. They don’t really care as long as it isn’t moving

“Just get your combo”. Love it. Thanks for all the great videos LFG. Looking forward to seeing Lake Fork baby soon.
Brings back memories of when I used to live in Austin. Jalapeno bacon wrapped dove breast is a special treat. My mouth is literally watering. The bad news is no dove season in N Y..
Brings back many memories hunting dove in my "younger" years.
Keep these coming. I have caught up on all your videos during my at home recoup time. Thanks for what you do.
Some of my favorite videos of yours are your dove hunting ones!
i agree
Our season here in iowa starts in a couple of hours and im so flippin pumped! Im carrying an old side by side .410, so wish me luck on hitting anything. Great video, I enjoyed watching all the shooting.
How did you do?
Great video, guys! You were totally relaxed in these fabulous teaching moments. Loved it. Can't wait till tomorrow to get out there again!

I'm so hungry all the sudden for Dove. Such good memories of this kind of recipe!
“Make sure you check for pellets”....full send right on in there. 😅 another top notch video LFG!
That was just simply juicy content. Thank you for the entertainment LFG
LFG I really enjoyed this video. It’s never a bad time hunting dove in Texas your video took me back to a few good hunts I’ve had before. Keep up the great work bud!

Man that looks like a bunch of fun. Where I'm at in kentucky the dove huntin' is pretty bad this year. Seeing those flocks of pigeons is really cool!
You literally just made my favorite dove dish! I also have an old school red rider bb gun.
LFG FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Those look delicious.

Would have been hilarious to have your phone playing Prince, “When Doves Cry” while out there banging away at them. Lol
Watch out for pellets y’all, then proceeds to insert the whole dove breast into his mouth 😂
Haha! You stole my comment!
Yep, saw it right off.
The whole thing about pellets is dumb anyways. My dad and I have eaten enough pellets between the both of us to fill up a whole box of shells.
hey that was fun to watch thanks hope more to come
Great video! Get your hunts in now......gonna be a while once the little one makes her appearance! A grill, jalapeño, cream cheese, and bacon......a stick would tastes good with that preparation!!!!
Wow those dudes were flyin high!!!!! Love that ol sweet 16!
Great video mate, hopefully everything goes smoothly this week and your baby girl makes it here in good health best wishes to you and osg 👍
I love hunting and fishing
Awsome love the hunt videos!

Not to mention dove fly faster and got more jukes than Barry Sanders!

Very true! I was going to say the same I went from missing all the time to barely missing just because puttingy cheek on my stock

This is what makes hunting so fun..The cooking part
I cant wait until November. I was only able to go out one day.
Dude! I saw an episode of Bizarre Foods and Andrew Zimmer was in California hunting dove. They shot a whole bunch of them and they kept the hearts and put them on skewers after blanching them in wine. It didn't take seconds to cook them.
Awesome vidga LFG
Awesome Justin and mike
Late to the gun show lol but made it! Another banger video brother!
Maybe try an over/under? Modified choke on the first barrel, full on the second barrel for the longer shots.
This was a very awesome video and I can't wait to see more hunting videos from you.
“Is that an elk?” LOL same thing I thought!

Wish we had a dove season in NY
The start of dove season for my region is tomorrow and I do exciyed
Right there with ya!
Don't you mean "Browning Sweet 16" :)
It was a Remington model 11 his dad collects old shotguns and said it was a model 11 Remington in 16 gauge and one in 12
kevin j That wasn’t a Browning or a Sweet 16. It was a Remington Model 11.
