    I love how the interviewer is just holding the dumpling with her chopsticks because she needs to listen and talk, which of course means she cannot eat lol

    Crazy rich Singaporeans would not be sitting around in their finery making dumplings, the men especially. The dumplings will be made by the domestic helpers!

    What I like to do is to speak in Cantonese and then in English -- no accent -- and shock people!!! It's FUN seeing their reaction -- vice versa -- LOL

    Wow, good interview! She was great. And acknowledging historical racism too. Plus addressing current stereotypes.

    I loved this movie! I watched it during covid 5 times. I like that it was authentic, as I am a chef and appreciate the authenticity and opened up to the rest of the world. I grew up with a girl whos family owned a chinese restaurant and hung out in the kitchen alot and totally love this heritage, even though I am Italian I actually like the Asian food and culture

      As someone who is hearing impaired, I appreciate captions. I'm assuming it also helps people who may not speak English as a first language who want to watch the interview. I appreciate the extra effort to make things accessible.

      Tamales! Another tradition that brings friends and family together. Every culture has their version of the food prep scene that's why it's so universal. Hungry for more!

      Maybe you can do a video on how food is Cultural Appropriation. It could be a companion piece to go with your Tipping is Racist video. Since you love to create propaganda, and use false equivalencies.

    Asians in America need to stop self-pity and recognize that while they're only account for 5% of the population in America, they (China and India) are more than 40% of the population in this world. There's no reason to feel weak or victimized. The future is ours. Be dignified and proud!

    • @eternalblissness
      @eternalblissness 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are not self-pittying themselves. They are celebrating their culture and uniqueness by making movies. They are just stating the truth when they said that non-Asian Americans do not see them as human beings. But that's not called self pity. That's called bullying, contempt, and racism towards Asians by other people. It's kinda like how Hitler viewed the Jews in the past.

      The 小笼包 is honestly unbeatable IMO... but the wait is honestly long and prices indeed quite overpriced. I won't say it's overrated, though

    Very misleading, dumplings is not a common dish among Southeast Asian Chinese.
