How is the ruffler attachment attached to the 880? Does it attach to one of the presser feet? I am interested in using decorative stitching on top of pleats to look like smocking.
is there a formula for how to set the machine to gather, I have towels that measure 16 inches, if I use a 32 inch strip to ruffle, what settings should my machine be on
Pleats are best made with Ruffler attachment. The #16 foot gathers the fabric. One fun way to use the ruffles is to attach them to the bottom of kitchen towels. You could add one, two or three layers.
Always love the ”this is a good trick, but here’s something better!” plot twist!
Love seeing the presser foot in action. No hassle, just business. :)
Thank you for making all these feet videos. You're explain it so well.
Thank you for the feedback! It is certainly appreciated.

When would you use the ruffles? For pleats? Nice job
