Yeesh seems like a whole lotta work! As someone who's mostly familiar with Gundam model kits, is this a fairly intense kit to buy for someone who isn't too experienced with model kits? I don't think we'll be getting into LED lighting or anything, just a decent representation for my sweet girlfriend who loves DS9
Without the lighting, it certainly will be easier to build, as for one, you won’t need to light block, which was a nightmare. Some of the parts are ill-fitting so that will need a bit of work (putty/filler). But overall, without the lighting, you shouldn’t have any issues building it. Good luck with it
Ha funnily enough I’m a war gamer and my Star Trek obsessed girlfriend bought this model for me for my birthday, it’s a great model actually the detail holds alone well without the lighting and it looks great backlit on a shelf
I suppose you Could go Completely off-script and paint the Trek ships All Kinds of colors… 🤔 Lighting is Always bonus points from me, and This was a Tough one!
Finally, im looking forward to this one. Been a while in the making.
Brilliant
@@R_T_Ralph Thank you kindly. it took long enough to get it done :)
It looks great, yes that was a lot of windows to drill out.
Thanks Stephen, and even though it isn't a clear kit, it still seemed crazy drilling in to clear plastic
I would love to see your model room.
I will do a video on it eventually
Great build.
Also what kind of drill is that? I've been trying to find a small pen drill but can't find one.
the USB WOW Stick. Its a life changer when it comes to kit windows.
Well done Dan that's a titanic triumph of patience over AMT. The station looks really good in the closing titles. How did you do the background?
"a titanic triumph of patience over AMT" - I could not have put it better :)
Greenscreen, and then a free to use space background from pixabay
