Not exaggerating at all when I say I think you're probably the most qualified person on TH-cam to do an in-depth Pulsar tutorial. You've gotten some serious magic out of it in dozens of videos.
Your voice is so smooth homie haha, that's a voice for late night radio. The kick is definitely Phat. Now that the pipe has been ordered, I will be saving up for the P23!
dude crazy! Just started this video and my Pulsar-23 is setup almost exactly the same way: I'm using the atten for Out to OMG! and my pitch, drive, and tune knobs are exactly the same. The only difference is I have REL lower lol. We nearly dialed things in exactly the same.
Really enjoyed this, and will definitely incorporate, and explore other applications, of this technique. I agree with others I'd love to hear all your Pulsar teachings, but I also wanted to say this format of a focused, one concept technique video was really nice. It is so easy to get swept down the river with Pulsar, one new technique or idea at a time is really all I need before getting lost exploring its possibilities.
Thanks Aq!! I searched TH-cam for something like this and couldn’t find anything. So I figured I could add something useful for other pulsar users. I forgot to mention that it really helps the kick cut through a mix if you want that kind of thing. Maybe I’ll do a 23 part series on each module.
Ooh I love it with the drive! Sick fatty kick tones. Thanks for sharing! If I ever get a pulsar, I’ll know how to fatten up that kick now. Thanks! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, I think so too… I will live vicariously through your jams until I can afford one. 🤪✨ I love the Soma stuff, really interesting sounds and concepts with their instruments. Thanks again for sharing!
Great Jon to make a tutorial…do have the extended bass drum module for the pulsar to reset the envelope? Greetings and have a good start into this week….🖖👽
I have one of the original pulsar 23s before they updated the bass drum module. Do you notice much of a difference/improvement with the updated module?
I have the original here without the updated bass drum. It’s interesting that you need a new module card to trigger the waveform. I find it to work fine without it. Also I haven’t heard a demo of the new bass drum.

🙏🏻🙏🏻💙💙 In depth…I like the sound of that. I’ll give it a go.
@@jon_gee please do!

I don’t have the new BD module. But I like the kick! Thanks man!
Offtopic... Where did you get the wooden stands for the Pulsar, are these a little bit inclined?
They are walnut stands made by NOIZZI Hardwood. He’s super cool and made this one custom for me. I highly recommend his woodwork!
