now multiply both sides by a,

now take (a-b) from right hand side to left hand side,

divide above eqn by b
2 = 1
and now because we know that 2 = 1 put 1 instade of 2

and there we have the answer...

I feel, the last question of team science was right. Plus, Arushi's bodmas should not be considered since the "rule" was to apply all the operations from bodmas. Subtraction was not there

Well, I agree with Antil that the last question should be given to them. Obviously, mathematically the answer to the question was no, it's not possible to add two 2s to get 5 as an answer. So it was just assessing their "outside the box" thinking skills - which I think they did pretty well on! In such subjective cases, there should be no right or wrong answer as far as it is logical and valid. It may not necessarily match with that of the interviewer and that's should be perfectly fine in these types of cases.
