  • In February - and for the first time in more than 40 years - the State of Kuwait gave official recognition to a religious organization. That organization is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
    This week Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Mary, met government leaders and Latter-day Saints in Kuwait City to express gratitude on behalf of the First Presidency for the important milestone.
    “We are incredibly grateful for your absolutely key role in granting recognition to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” Elder Cook said Monday during a meeting with Mr. Fareed Emadi, secretary general of the Supreme Commission for the Promotion of Moderation in the Ministry of Awqaf. “This is a great occasion for us and we’re just very pleased. We appreciate the friendship and we want to respond. We are going to be very good citizens, good neighbors, good friends. … We feel comfortable being with people of different faiths but who have accountability to God.”

    When I was young, Spencer Kimball said the whole world will hear the gospel.
    I couldn't see how that could happen.
    I was a child and couldn't see beyond my world.
    Now,because of these gifts to the world...
    I have never been so humbled and thankful for the Lord opening my eyes and my heart.
    I pray that many will listen and accept the Lord's love😔

    I fought in the Gulf War and my final objective was Al Jahre with the rest of my tank battalion. I remember very clearly the smell and smoke that was from the burning oil wells and destroyed Iraqi tanks in and around Kuwait City. I never thought that I would see the gospel in Kuwait. It takes me breath away to see this video.

      30. Know that when you are born, all family and relatives’ blessings and curses from Adam down hang above you. But when you reach the age of consciousness, not the sorcerers but your first actions determine your choice. And the solution is to return first to God through his prophet according to 2 Chronicles 20:20. Seek Salvation first. And Salvation is only through the living prophet of your time. Not an angel, not a book called Bible or Quran. Not a prophet called Moses, Jesus of Nazareth or Mahomet. But the words of a living man amongst you. And you, whatever difficulties and sufferings that you are going through, first, know that the person to blame for all this is yourself. And in search for a solution, you shall not go to just any prophet and not just anyone should lay his hands on you. You shall never trade your Salvation for an ephemeral relief from Satan in a Catholic, Protestant, evangelical or Branhamist church. In Genesis 50, Joseph asked that his bones should go up from Egypt with Prophet Moses. And you, if you are a chosen one, you must not die before you accept Kacou Philippe, the living prophet of your time.

The Lord is indeed hastening the work of salvation throughout the world preparatory for His glorious Second Coming which both ancient and modern day Prophets have spoken and prophesied! Mark Vehar The Lord hasn’t really opened any doors - what he has done is to get the Church the same official government recognition that seven other Churches have had for years - the Catholics, the Evangelical Church, Greek Orthodox and Anglicans etc all have legal status. It just means the ward can now publish its meeting times and location and place a sign outside.
      No missionaries allowed,
      No proselytising.
      No discussing the gospel with any Muslim.
      Meetings take place on Fridays the Islamic holy day
      Members under great pressure to drink tea and coffee. It’s a grave social offence to turn down a cup when offered.

      There will never be a temple in an Islamic country as long as they have a say. They despise Christian's and Jews. They think our bible is corrupted and we are mislead while their leader muhammed slept with his favorite wife Aisha when she was 9. 4 years before her first period. This religion is not welcoming to change or honest criticism. Or else their people would leave in droves. Leaving islam is punishable by death in many countries

      If you think that Allah and Jahveh to be the same being then your belief is false because Mormon doctrine states that Jahveh was the premortal Jesus Christ and muslims don't believe Jesus to be God. If you are just trying to be respectful by mentioning Allah, the muslim god and Jahveh, the christian god as if they are two different gods then that's false too.

    What an amazing blessing and witness of the hand of the Lord! I am so happy for all our brothers and sisters in Kuwait! I know God lives and loves all of his children. I add my witness to Alma's from The Book of Mormon, "And now what evidence have ye that there is no God, or that Christ cometh not? I say unto you that ye have none, save it be your word only.
    But, behold, I have all things as a testimony that these things are true... all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." (Alma 30:40-44)

    An amazing step forward. All we have to do now is support the changes in the Muslim communities. That would allow conversions without fear of retaliation!

      You can own a bible but would be advised to keep it away from public view unless you want to be arrested.

      Ben McCrea I know. I’m one of them. I wasn’t complaining, I was playfully pointing it out. Secondly, being in the service isn’t a solid reason to not have church clothes. There’s shopping malls in Kuwait and these guys get plenty of time off.

      Samoa Moni
      Lol no not LDS, but live under Mormon Shiria law in the Mormon holy land of Utah.
      I see how they scam people out of their money. Money and power, that’s what it’s all about. And just to make it abundantly fair, all other other religions aren’t much better.
      I lived under the Southern Baptist’s growing up in Florida until they got watered down and didn’t carry much weight with less members. I’m sure us Gentiles will water down the The Mo’s and we can return the government to ALL the people.

    • @theephraimite
      @theephraimite 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Greg Bisesi, “to make it abundantly fair”?
      I’ll tell you how to be fair. Show me proof the church is running a scam, then you’re being fair. You make claims, back ‘em up with evidence.

    • @BenMcrea61
      @BenMcrea61 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Samoa Moni President Thomas S Monson was taken to court in London on charges of being a con man and conning people out of money. The judge ruled that you cannot prove or disprove the claims of the church and that is why President Monson escaped prosecution. So I would suggest you cannot prove anything either on matters of faith. This person living in SLC does not believe the claims of the Church and so of course believes that people who pay tithes are being scammed out of their money.
