Lowpoly model of concept hypersonic 6th gen fighter
The Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) is a United States Air Force 6th-generation fighter initiative with a goal of fielding a family of systems that is to eventually supersede the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. A manned fighter aircraft is the centerpiece program of the initiative is to be supported by unmanned “Loyal Wingman” platforms.
This is my concept of NGAD deux (2nd concept) with manned fighter. For low speed maneuverability wings have reverse variable sweep. Missiles are keept in bottom and top bays. Forward ailerons allows to make it super agile during subsonic flight. Additional airbrakes support flight steering. F-23 style ehaust make this NGAD stealthy.

Imo this is hands down the best concept of NGAD I've seen...optional forward swept wings! Send these to the pentagon or who/wherever it is necessary to get this seen.🤘🇺🇲Btw....Love your uploads!!
Thanks. Each is better i think. Movement dynamics i feel is improving. Yet such wings may not be possible to work in reality. Same goes to upper missile bay. But i do not care, it is design not engineering. :)

Yeah I've watched several videos on Forward Swept Wings they have inherit instability and structural stresses/ loading at the wing route. They made a few of these in the late 80s they literally tore themselves apart, and we're almost impossible to fly without a computer. Modern fly by wire fixes a lot of that but you end up with an airframe that has to be super strong because only Composites will work for something like this and from what I've seen stress fractures tend to build up at the wing root so they have to constantly be inspected ultrasonically for potential failure but I'm just a TH-cam scientists here so maybe they have figured it out by now figured out a better way by now figured out a better way by now
This is a designe The Skunkwurks have been up to for 40 years..When I was in the Army in the early 1980s I built an Aurora testors model kit..Looked almost exactly like this aircraft..
A spinal weapons bay is a really great way to make the ground crews curse your existence. I love the switch blade wing too, it will never happen though. VG as a whole is pretty much a no go any more do to maintenance. It's really a beautiful concept though. Also speed brake would not be a separate unit, the designers would use split outer edge control surfaces like what the B-2 has, you would need them in order to control yaw.
Why are wing extensions high maintenance? It seems like the tickets to conserve space on an aircraft carrier.
@@GTOGregory Variable Geometry wings are one of the most maintenance intensive systems you can put on an aircraft. They have to be reliable while moving though the air at supersonic speeds and under intense positive or negative G strain. The maintainers need to know without a shadow of a doubt they will work in every situation. That means long checklists and long hours of work.
Fun fact FB-111 crew chiefs had some of the highest self termination rates of any Airforce crew chief. The FB-111 program sucked down in the neighborhood of a quarter of the Airforce budget.

@@willieedwards1672I haven't seen before, the forward swept wing unfolding in such way. Looks very sleek. Every artist takes inspiration from someone or something. It is still created by him as he sees it. It would be impossible to create, if he was a hermit who never before had seen any plane.

@@user-zu4vx5cx8c Ну для начала Америка до сих пор сидит на 4G, не спорю что у неё есть потенциал, но как сам автор видео написал что этот прототип разработан действовать в связке с дронами, а с ними пока не все так гладко + системы РЭБ тоже на месте не стоят. Через 10 лет глянем как всё будет 😉

Only USAF knows, but most probably yes, this is planned successor of F-22 Raptor and fighter with AI piloted loyal wingmen is almost a must for fighters development and this is how NGAD will work.

This is fighter. No fighter has rear defence except flare launcher. Additionally role of loyal wingman is to defend mothership. This is also why drones will accompany such fighter.

I have a problem with this design. I see windows on the sides of the cockpit but not on the front. How the heck is the pilot supposed to see where (s)he going in this thing?
F-35 pilot has 360 cockpit by using virtual screen right on the helmet. Technology allows now to see 3D image on virtual screens without any windows, and some say this is future.
@@netrunner_plThat's great as long as that system is working. However, systems have a tendency to get damaged in combat. I doubt that there would be many pilots that would want to try to land that plane if the system were knocked out.

Yes. They are as difficult and demanding as cool. But i am designer and i implemented alien technology to make it possible :)

@@netrunner_pl Well, as an aspiring aerospace engineer, I've got ways to give a more conventional design the fly characteristics of both forward sweep and variable swept, and still look cool, yet functional.

- топливо некуда лить ибо в крыле крыло;
- бк некуда складывать ибо ёптыть там крыло;
- если раскладываем крыло то остается дырка и нам дует;
- механизации крыла нету удивитесь но у нас крыло в крыле;
- нафик шторки на хвосте вверху нам дует;
- воздухозаборники в зоне разрежения ибо их морда перекрывает;
- дизайнеров надо давить пока они херню в садике рисуют.

If you launch it from the top & something goes wrong, it can land right back in the weapons bay, or airplane, & explode.

Well most of us aren't aware of the craft, like you with your inside knowledge.
Do some searching then, it's pretty easy to do. Most of the black triangles are skunkworks craft but they have made disc craft such as the Silverbug or "flux liner" and god knows what else. They have been reverse engineering these things for several decades@@raptorsean1464

Ok, those are terrible renderings of what the NGAD could be. It's supposed to he a fighter, not a reconnaissance plane or bomber, so the big azz frame running down the center of the canopy would kill outward visibility. Exactly the opposite of what you want in a fighter. Ever seen any fighter with a canopy fit for an SR-71? No. They are all bubbles with no obstructions..... And what's with the dorsal weapons bay? Fighters generally will pull up and away during just about any maneuver, so if they are maneuvering and firing weapons at the same time, then the likelihood of running into your own weapons is stupidly high.
