What disturbs me the most about any real or fictional execution I’ve seen is the condemned willingly going along with it, I understand some people are resigned to their fate due to miriade reasons but it’s just incomprehensible to me, if put in that situation I would never stop fighting and resisting regardless of how futile or take my own life before I could be executed even if it meant a far more painful and gruesome death for myself. If you know your going to die, its kind of gangster when people accept their fate and go out with pride and dignity. Its the last statement you can make. Men/soldiers want to keep their honor and set an example. Basically, under certain circumstances I try to understand their willingness. However some people seem overly cooperative in their death.
