Cranbersher, I just really really really love how much EFFORT you put into all your videos. You didn't _have_ to animate in an entire potential story arc of the Battle of the Crans. But you did. AND WE LOVE YOU.

I know I'm not an animator, but I always loved stop motion. I feel stop motion was always an art where you take a lot of care when you do it. Mistakes can't be "smoothed out", tossed out, or redone exactly the same way if you had to do it over. I think of stop animation similar to the old carvers / clock / watch making. A labor that has love within it. I guess watching these videos has something to do with the curiosity of knowing everything it takes for the little things that one enjoys.
eeeeeEEEE I absolutely love all the personality in these videos >~< It doesn't really matter to me that they don't follow a strict schedule because the quality of the content itself is more than enough to make up for it!
All of these are some really great tips and tricks for lip sync but one important notes for those who are planning on starting animating; the ''doing the inbetween mouths'' trick only works of you are animating on ones, but if you animate on twos or threes (every other or third frame) this will look slow and you wouldn't have the time to get through the word! if you do animate on twos or threes, its more important to get the essential parts of the word (which is where vowels and consonants come in) and a more snappy change of mouths :'D
Every time I watch this "Guide to Stop-Motion" episode I feel bad for the old Cranbersher puppet. I'm waiting for him to get his revenge. (Though I do admit I like the look of the updated puppet.)
Even though I'm not super interested in puppet animation and want to try drawn animation, these tutorials still really help! I'm not saying one is better than the other, I just want to try out drawn animation first. Stay frosty Cranbersher!

So, interesting on replacing the mouth of the puppet. Though, a few questions:1- do you always have to make replacement mouths during an animation? Cause Vaseline should stain the paper. So do you have a master copy of mouths and you just make more every time?2- are your mouths on regular printer paper, or thicker paper?3- does the Vaseline stain the felt face after a while and require a whole new puppet to be made?4- in your new puppet form, are those little pom-pom balls on his feet to give him toes? Cause if they are... nice touch! Now it looks like a person and not a guy with hooves for feet.
You speak perfectly fine & you've got a lot of wit. I find this particular series to be extremely educational. And I can't help but go back & watch them over & over again while literally laughing out loud during each one. Your sense of humor never gets old to me, so have some confidence in yourself! You're doing great. And you look even cuter with the new do. lol
