    5:58
    θήριον ('beast') > תריון trywn > 666
θηρίου ('of the beast') > תריו tryw > 616

It also has a second set of meanings:
666 = Nrwn Qsr = Neron Caesar (latin spelling)
616 = Nrw Qsr = Nero Caesar (greek spelling)

The intro is indeed Welsh. It roughly translates to:
    Sickness is my teacher
    It broke my smile
    My bones feel old
    Here lies Ren's body

Ren is agnostic as he said multiple times now.
So this is basically where he is coming from with this.
Very well versed on the topic but not a believer himself and at the same time not disregarding everything of it.
He also mentioned that his parents are agnostic as well.

Best reaction video i have ever seen. quality was immaculate, research on ren was perfect, you paused and explained every line i hadn’t understood, but not so much that it was annoying. genuinely my highest praise to you! i know that in the grand scheme of things, one subscriber is pretty irrelevant, but you truly earnt my subscription! incredible video.

Belly of the beast is a reference to Jonah and the whale. It is believed Jonah was dead for three days in the belly of the beast and brought to the depths (hell) and resurrected by God when he was spit out on the shore

11:35 if that is the allusion then he is saying to us there is purpose even in his illness, despite what he may have felt, and that it may be the very means of mercy to prepare him in the way Isaiah was prepared.

Ren said that when his illness was ongoing without diagnosis he looked into everything. Traditional medicine, alternative, holistic, religion, voodoo, satanism, he looked into it all. I think now he considers himself agnostic but he really likes the stories from religion and you can tell he's well read. I like that instead of dumbing it down he puts stuff in his lyrics without worrying if you understand... you can look it up. Thanks for your reaction.. you hear things I miss.

    • @WitsEndGirl
      @WitsEndGirl 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

He did say that. Interesting for me is his school experience, like mine, which was very welsh church. What it left me with was religious language as part of my every day speech because that's what I grew up with and that's what gained acceptance in school. It took me years to separate what I believe from what I was told I believe. I think that's what I recognise in Ren's lyrics.

Whenever I watch too many Ren reaction videos and my enthusiasm for his music begins too tire, I stumble across an analysis like yours and I am reinvigorated. Ren is so brilliant and there is such depth to his lyrics that your knowledge was really appreciated, especially about some of the religious references. I had no idea the seraphim had red wings! Thank you for another enjoyable reaction.

I love watching reactions to Ren's music, when the reactors are gifted/well read like yourself it is even better. His music makes people think, which in some circles would be labeled as dangerous looking at all the governments of the world. I thank you for filling in all the references to things that were totally missed by so many (Red Wing Angels) and many others.

Intellectually, this is Ren's finest work Emotionally, it connects through his dynamic presentation even though the facts may escape many. Ren has lost a lot of the sheathing that protects our neural pathways. The pain and agony he goes through is really undescribable unless you have suffered it. I am a believer in creationism not religion, and I think Ren is more than open to that as well. His heart is wide open to the beauty of creation in all forms be it the maker of all things or of man. Science failed him as it often does because it is the product of the human ego. The suffering of man has been inflicted by man on man, not God.

I really think the shift to the subs reverses the violins from the beginning. Clapton, Hendrix, Kendrick. He references his sources, but listen to what these references say when put together as a statement in this context. The statement has its own meaning that then also interplays with the original songs and their message.

I sat in church beside the biggest, nastiest hypocrite I have ever known… (My own Mother) sadly. Is there a God???? I don’t know.. However, I try to be more concerned with trying to be a decent, moral human being! The rest will surely work itself out in the “end”.

I think the exile the shepherds and follow the sheep is more secular rather than a denegration of organized religion. Ren has talked about it on his twitch streams that while he's personally agnostic he's not going to say someone's wrong for being religious. Talking heads, 24/7 news channels, influencers. All these people with more style, rage bait, virtue signaling etc than substance are not shepherds. Trends happen because they all follow each other and their followers follow them. And of course it always seems that those people oppose each other so there's never any real progress towards anything.

Ive gone from a highly religious person to a spiritual person. Organized religion is and has been corrupt since the beginning of, well religion. What gets me is you see a house or a painting and you know at some point an architect or builder designed or built that house a painting even if not alive today at some point in the past painted that painting. Something or someone has to have created this. Nothing couldnt have created everything. Nothing has never created something even in science as far as i know of atleast. Always open to discussion because if science has in some fashion proved that nothing did create something id really like to stop sounding like a dumb ass lol. Seriously though my philosophy and outlook on life has changed so many times not because i choose too but because i always try to keep an open mind and continue to weigh and evaluate my Own Philosophys on life.

1:30 "Bones are the home where the devil rests" is a references to the lime diseases attacking his bones. Therefore weakening the bone marrow and structure. That is where the "Devil (aka disease)" rests.

. Good reaction. He does mostly one take videos. Everything I have heard from him is fascinating. Check out Ren and Sam Tompkins performing Earned it/ Man’s world/ Falling

I fought the VA for 11 years over what turned out to be PTSD related issues. I can't count how many times I was made to feel like a I was making it up or straight up called a liar before meeting someone who listened and acted.

Illuminating. You always have great content.if you have the time please explain REN’s “Genesis” recurring line,”Noah was late for the Ark,hmm,Noah was late for the Ark”. Ponderous, lol. Again gj.
