Unfortunately, it could be a whole host of things. First is that different heads have different numbers of sidewall holes, so double check that first. When heads have fewer sidewall holes, following this pattern will lead to more channel. Second thing to make sure you're doing is breaking in the mesh both before and after you string it up, so pounding in the pocket, stretching out the mesh before you string it, etc. Third is to factor in what mesh you're using. Sometimes hero mesh can require a little more break in work, whereas StringKing can be a pit more pliable. The point of this video is more to offer a template for you to work within, not a truly universal pattern (alas, there is no such thing). This is the best sidewall tutorial I’ve ever seen. I learned how to string a stick just a couple weeks ago and now I’m stringing so many in one day.

I think the pocket depth depends on the bottom string and where the pocket sits depends on the sidewall

Does this method work on all lacrosse heads?
It doesn't always apply to wider defensive heads or some more funky profiles but its a fairly good general rule!
