Murphy's Law for campers: 1) Seats are always downwind of the fire, regardless of placement or movement. 2) Fires light first try whenever there are no witnesses. 3) The weather is always ideal the day after you go home. 4) The fish always are biting tomorrow. 5) The mosquitoes, black flies, horseflies, gnats are always in abundance while camping. 6) Poison oak or ivy are closest leaves to the latrine area. 7) Fires burn quickly unless you are trying to get warm or dry. 8) A bad day camping still beats a good day at work. Cheers Ps Fine dining well done!
Gotta say im a big fan of Exped. Have a number of their pads, tents, compression sacks, other small assorted, and have been impressed by all of them. Some great overall design with attention to detail, and excellent quality.
Very civilized night out!!! Tip I saw in someone else's vid, when making legs use the drill to mark the end of the legs so you have a reference to cut to. Twist it in till the ears score and you'll have a circle marked the same size as the hole.
Great video and amusing too. I did not know that about the green wood breaking down so quickly if the bark is still on. Oh, steak that good needs to be rare, maybe medium rare.
Corporals corner has a video and he took a 3/8 socket and welded it to a ring making an exchangeable scotch eye auger. It looked liked a great design and may help you in your search, great vid im enjoying the content.
Don't go there on the Auger, the idea was to make up a muilti function auger that I could change the bits, it didn't work out, the ratchet and jaws aren't strong enough. I now have a fixed auger.
Excellent video. Amazing brother congratulations on your camping. Had you consider the Bark River Bravo III or Machete? I want that MB but price and steel from Bark River sounds more attractive

Good tip, thanks Mike.

I don't like Rare steak, fuckin awful, tape worms don't appeal to me either.
Great as always, and a good laugh😂👍🏻
Great video Rob
Drop me an email if you want a tribute knife robevs73@googlemail.com
Man, that Fallkniven Bowie is something else. Just stunning 🙂bit like your date Russel............. lol.
He's a good looking bloke 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good stuff :-).
thank you.
Amazing video, guys
Man I love you videos
Cheers Mike, I appreciate that.
I welded a bit to a 1 1/4" pipe nipple. I cut a branch to slide inside for a handle. Years later, I see it on TH-cam... works great!
I wanted something that would pack small and I couldn't use multiple bits but it's not perfect, your idea is the best but I'm awkward!
Nice one Rob :-)
👍👍Rob smugy magnet👍👍✌👌🙏🔥⛺😊
Hobgoblin!
Proper drop that! 👍
Thanks for the video Rob, I’ll have to save up and check out the M&S steak 👍
Great part 2 Rob, looking forward to 3rd👍😊Yep fingers crossed for WG, all your missing is Scott n Nick for your usual little spot 😀
I was with Nick yesterday , Scott I haven't seen or heard from in a while.
Spoke to Roger Bison earlier and so far the gathering is on this year.
Nice one, fingers crossed for that
Awesome guys, I could almost taste that steak

Scotch Eye Auger!!! $15 on Amazon; $35 on Amazon. Dinner needs a fine Yorkshire cask ale :D

This project has reared its ugly head on many videos, I've given up on the idea.
Works fine with 1/2" and smaller bits.
Excellent video. Amazing brother congratulations on your camping.
Had you consider the Bark River Bravo III or Machete?
I want that MB but price and steel from Bark River sounds more attractive
It's the handles on Bark River that put me off.
@@RobEvansWoodsman I know!!!!! A good wrapping maybe work?
how much was the bowie ?? ... it looks perfect as a camp knife,
New £600.
I paid £400 second hand but unused.
@@RobEvansWoodsman .... Jesus Christ ... what excuse did you use to justify buying it? .... lol
She's given up on me mate, Mrs Evans dosent check my spending!
I sold a Skookum bushtool to buy it anyway.
Awesome video, what's your thoughts on charring the bottom of the table legs to give a bit more longevity?
Good idea.
The ground on that site is really dry so hopefully it'll last a year or two.
Fantastic episode Rob, though that steak looked a bit - ahem - overdone! ;)
Seriously wasn't just that side was a little dark, I don't like Rare meat anyway.
Tape worms ain't welcome in my gut!
Rob, where are you? What part of the world?
Wales in the UK
Sounds expensive for dogs bollocks. You'd be better off with something from their beef range!
🤣🤣
Could you not find a prettier date..............................Russ?
It's all about the conversation.
