This is actually what makes Valheim such a good game. I play solo(no commands or mods and I only look to videos if I get stuck or can't figure something out on my own)...I've had weeks of in game time where everything goes according to plan. But I've also had days that I have died over and over and over again. Add to that the random deaths that happen because you forgot to eat and got swarmed by trolls and the fact that when you first discover a new biome something pops you like a grape until you figure out how to prepare and counter them.....well...It's just fun. I'm nearing 700 days into my first play through and have probably died at least 150 times (1/3 of those being futile attempts to recover gear or lost items. lol)
None of that even touches on the building or terraforming and the thought that has to go into the logistics of moving some items to a safe, useable spot. Or the logistics of expeditions to find new lands and biomes in the first place. At first the repeated deaths irked me.....but now.....If I die...It is on me....I screwed up somewhere...Not many games are that unforgiving after substantial time spent in them. The game really is very good and endlessly entertaining.
You are right. I don’t have close to that many hours but enjoying those moments of new exploration and such is what makes a game. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed. The building is one of the best parts of this game.
@@Marcosoh I'm currently building a 'Mountain top Fortress' to include all my main storage, crafting, and miscellaneous stuff. I hope to have a full armor and weapons display hall, as well as some strictly 'role play' areas such as market, mage tower, loading docks. So far I've used about 18 k stone and I still have one more segment to build, as well as finishing the road down the other side. Most of it is platforms and retaining walls. I hope it to be a mix of wood and stone buildings with various underground 'caverns' and passageways once the footprint is complete.
As I play solo, I'm a bit ashamed to admit I don't even know how to have others come to my world, or even how to record it and show it to others. But I would love to show it off and have others see it.
I often find myself building completely useless stuff where only a small outpost would do. It's like I feel I must 'colonize' the entire map....lol.

i was playing grounded before valhim and hated the mosquito so bad but man i hated them even more right know therefore im not playing any game with mosquitos is mobs anymore 🤣🤣
