@@NickRawcliffe Couldn't you just dig iron scrap piles to get the bones? I know the stagbreaker trick works for finding silver, but it might work for iron too.
@@kevincaasi926 You use stagbreaker on the ground and if there's iron or silver veins in the aoe range it shows up as damage numbers/"too hard" allowing you to find ore without having to dig for it/use the wishbone.
With over a 1000 hours in the game myself, I can say with some experience that this was no easy feat... well done and, switching fire arrows to reserve arrows to conserve them.... pro move
HOW DO YOU HAVE SO LITTLE SUBS this content Is so well documented and paced I was stunned to see you weren't a big channel, I did my part and subbed, liked and leaving this comment for algo boost. You deserve it bro!
Thanks man really appreciate it 👍 That’s very nice of you to say. The good news is since I started making content in this style we have been growing rapidly so fingers crossed 🤞
This is so great. I did this myself some months ago and DIED searching for these bones, there were like 12 in all the map and I searched like 80% of it! And now I find this in my YT recommendations. Congratz man! Good job! I actually farmed iron by killing Oozers, made an iron pickaxe and strip mined a quarter of a mountain to find two silver veins. Yagluth and Bonemass were a piece of cake with the Frostner (even just tanked through bonemass fight, only dodging his attacks). Also nice to have a cape for the mountains. Might have needed more time than you, but totally worth it since you spend most of the time in swamps anyways looking for the bones. So I just did it at night to find Oozers as well and get the iron.
A great video here. I really enjoyed watching most of the play though, and it took a lot of time and determination to complete this challenge. Good work!
Fantastic work! In my first world, I tried to see how far I could get without killing bosses and using the items available from the intended progression, but I only made it up to the iron age (with the chair clip) before I gave that up and started a new world to do a normal run. I admire your commitment!
You could have just dug under the crypts and got into them that way if you wanted a more immersive experience. I personally clip because it's faster but have done the other method as well when I didn't want to bring fine wood for a chair. Honestly, it would have been faster to race a brass pick, then dig into a crypt, then make an iron pickaxe, then make a stagbreaker, then scout a silver vein and enclose yourself around it with a fire so enemies dont see you, With a silver weapon of your choice you can easily spank yagluth and moder. The hardest part would have also been taken care of if you got into a crypt.
Hey guys, I made another challenge video where I beat all bosses with just the flint knife and no armor. You might like that video also! Thank you for your support!
I started to play valhiem a month ago and I watch ur vids for tips. It's awesome how u make this game look so EZ but I barely know how to make a crafting bench. Real skills right here.
Wow, that's nuts. I've got a few hundred hours, and I still haven't beaten The Elder yet... I get much too distracted after building ONE base in the meadows, and then it's like I have to explore every part of every area around me... This is usually what happens with me when I play most open-world games - I'm impressed with how dedicated you are! Video was really informative as well. I learned a few things, and it makes me want to try Valheim again... Subbed!
@@dr.schlopp4089 my brother and I run a world together, I highly recommend carefully sneaking into the mountains early game for some wolves. Makes quick work of most everything if you just let them passively breed and multiply, super helpful for exploring Black Forest and such

Very cool and very impressive. I like the invention of the term "AI manipulation" to justify the techniques used that isn't taking advantage of glitches, like shooting arrows through roofs and defeating idling bosses.
Thank you glad you liked it. Yeh I don’t actually know who came up with that but it is a term used to explain such techniques in the speedrunning community. Thanks for checking out the content 👍
Awesome, this was seriously amazing. Not only the several hours you poured into it but the (probably) several hours you put in to editing this. If I could subscribe again I would, even if it meant giving up that 700th subscriber tag ;)
Thank you, that means a lot. Yeh it was a few sleepless nights editing this thing and almost as many hours as the playthrough XD. Really appreciate the support.
He is a man of sheer will, and determination Congrats on beating the run! Great video! It's probably been mentioned but the music is too loud in some sections like when you were going over the withered bones, but otherwise again a great video! Keep it up!
Just for future reference, the bonemass fight is significantly easier if you use a blunt weapon like a club. He is weak to blunt damsge and resistant to slash and very resistant to pierce, so bows and swords are doodoo vs him
That troll mining method is just better in general tbh even with a pickaxe, you're gonna attract the attention of a troll by mining anyways, why not put em to wurk!
myself and a group of friends decided we wanted to only kill skeletor, without killing all the other bosses. We managed to do it, starting by getting the trolls to smash all the ore we needed, before we could make our own bronze pickax. The rest is pretty self explanatory. We killed him with all silver gear.
