Love the dog test part. :) You are a good trainer. I always made sure when I fed my dogs, that I could walk away and they would wait until they heard me say "ok" before they took their food. I could even put a piece of steak on my dog's nose, go two rooms away, sit down, and he would still be holding that meat on his nose, going cross eyed until I said "ok" then he would flip it up and catch it. I'm sure we will soon see Goji carrying firewood for you. :) I love the work you do, I learn a lot from you, and I am so glad to see how you include your dog in so much of it. He is a smart one! :) ... I have only had my new pup for about a month now and he is learning so much, almost to the point of patience that Goji is at. :) Thanks for taking me along on your adventures. :)
That's pretty impressive goji is a long way from that level ...a few weeks ago he snook in and ate his dinner and breakfast then tried to take my food too 😡 . what kind of dog did you get
The dog who had the steadfast patience with the steak was named Thor, he was a shepherd wolf.. my first son, years ago. The one now, that's still learning is Dundee, a shepherd hound. Not as brilliant as Thor, or even Dodger who would bring things to me and paint pictures. But I'm hoping Dundee will start learning faster and be as willing to learn helpful things so he can take care of me in my old age LOL. @@PaddysBushcraft
:) That would be fun... perhaps we should train them as ghost hunter dogs? LOL I see by your name, we share interests. :) ... I actually have taught many of my client dogs different tricks ... people call me the dog whisperer, even before I'd heard of that show. :) There is nothing better than to have an intelligent dog, it makes training so much easier for people like me without patience. :)@@Bennybushcraft
Paddy nice cabin. Awesome little grill on the porch. 😊 i made something similar to your oil lamp , cant beat them for weight. God bless from NW Iowa Paddy!
Colin I dismantle them when I'm done tidy up and recycle all the materials for the next build, it's a great time saver too 🤣 not having to harvest all the materials again
Great videos mate I've been looking at buying some secluded woodland have you got any advice on some good ways to buy land? The commercial websites always include fees and commissions I'd rather just cut out the middle man and buy directly from the owner. Also do you have many council folk moochin about? A guy I know says they broke into his woodland to put signs on trees they said were a danger and to remove them! The cheek of it!
Thanks Simon it was my cotton t-shirt I sacrificed in last video to make a curtain the burn time is very good and you can raise and lower the flame by how much the wick is up to adjust burn time
Maybe flatten one side each of the two bits of wood supporting the wire frame on top of the square fire place...reduces the danger of it slewing sideways with the hot kettle etc. Love your work, Paddy! LouiseAustralia 🦘
