I don't agree. By taking these type of steps, you inspire others to change their perspective of life. This can have an enormous impact how a person proceeds with their life - what they do, how they do it, etc. One of humanity's worst attributes for as long as we have been around is our selfishness and our mindless pursuit of excessive material. We have gotten fat, stupid, and have lowered our goals in the process, even taking jobs we hate. The millenial generation is the most conceited generation in history, focusing on appearing as something they aren't for the sake of "social image". I mean....wtf, seriously. The selfless act of saving something like a dog or a cat is much more powerful than saving a human, in my opinion, because it requires you to throw away this idea that we are somehow more important than other living creatures. Seeing as these videos get millions of views and researching the behavior of the new generation of people, you'll find that it is becoming clear that such video DO actually make a difference. The new generation, Gen Z, of kids is by far the most selfless of all generation and it isn't because of their self-absorbed millenial parents....it's because of videos like this. They were practically born with computers in their hands and they don't know life without it. The majority of their information and influence will all come from the internet, from videos like this. So, yes. Saving a dog can change the world. Just make sure you record it and post it on the internet.
