LEC is making the old LCS mistakes. Their entire promo is just about winning or losing. Like 20+ different players (not counting g2 players) with thick accents doing voice over, over clips of them standing around. Talking about how they have lost and want to win. Like bro I don't give a shit, you all said the same thing. LCS focused on the personalities and used a lot of clips from spring showing how abrazent these players can be. LCS did a way better job imo.

For me the bar on if your hype video is good or not, is how it compares to the LCK 2020 Spring video. It is still the best of any of the usual format hype videos like LEC.

I actually liked seeing the players in a relaxed setting. I've only seen most of them when they're fighting for their lives.
Based on the entire history of League, I think they are actually a little bit too relaxed.

i actually really do like the way the LCS is just trying to make the content more about the players as a whole than the league itself. a lot of the reason that older LCS was so good to watch was you had players that people just liked to cheer for. sneaky, DL, aphro, hai, qt, etc etc. they just had likeable personas or were entertaining as hell. this kind of promo video captures a little bit of that past magic. it also builds some of the current storylines of players and teams and is just well produced as a whole.
LEC's on the other hand, seems a lot more serious about winning or losing vs G2 and just aint it. its not really much of a hype video.
lec video is overconfident, they make it seem like lec is some vicious league thats ready to stomp at worlds. whereas the lcs vid is conscious that that goal is out of the picture so theyre jus tryin to have fun and make it more entertaining for the viewers

People said "oh lcs players got no personality" and then you go team by team and the only teams without personalities are literally IMT and Fake TSM. DIG got Jensen and Zven and Spica, C9 got Blaber,Jojo and Serker, TL got APA and CoreJJ, FLY got Inspired and Bwipo.
Honestly we got the most vocal and out there personality of players in probably ever. LCS is finally becoming Americanize and being what we were knew for. Talking at lot of shit and sweaty lobbies in games . People can watch LCS and distinguish players compare to LEC who you go into and be like "Who is that?. Is he new? Join the league this split?".
its a combo of LCS massively hitting it off with the content this year and LEC having most of their great/important staff leave

it's not about personalities, LCS content team obviously stepped it up beginning of last year.
and wdym being americanized? LCK still has the best trailers and content by far and is by far the most toxic and sweaty.
@@essschesss6471 basically a bunch of layoffs happened during spring split during the riot layoffs. This led to alot of important analyst desk/content creation staff being let go and the quality of content has def taken a hit.
Never thought I’d say this but LCS for sure gapping LEC in terms of content this year 😢

How many years did it take them to realise what the core strength of their league is? They could have done this so many years ago when NA had all of those big personalities. Guess better later than never. This was so good.
The hype killer for LEC is G2 being so far ahead from everyone else that you just know most of those voice clips are just bs.

The lec video is really well made, but a lot of the comments feel forced, very few statements sounded like they had any conviction behind them.
they are going in different ways. lec storyline about all davids and 1 goliath and lcs about talking shit. tbh lcs looks fun, their content and edit team are good.

Also most of lec's production got fired. Look at the past lec promos, in between iverns, countless rap battles and music videos, every first show in a week had a proffesionally produced starting segment. Lec really dropped the ball by firing all thier staff and u can see it
