    Sadly with Babington gone and Marshall being constantly replaced by Nic France its hard to consider any link to any version of Soft Machine. At least they still sound cool.

    The energy isn’t the same as the originals.

      The originals were in their twenties, the band in this video are in the fifties and seventies. I reckon if all the original members were still playing even they wouldn't have the same energy as when in their twenties!
      But the musicality of the present band is fab.

    I'm sorry but original early soft machine material like this does not work with an electric guitarist like John Etheridge. His harsh tone and notes per minute approach make it close to unlistenable for me.
