The writing for that part is an insult to BSAA overall. "BSAA bad" was a sudden jump that seemed pretty random. Chris was working for BSAA in RE7 DLC, and he was talking shit about Blue Umbrella. In RE8, he is with Blue Umbrella and is against BSAA.

Having a daughter the same age as Rose, and playing RE7 as well as finishing 8 made me feel for Ethan. Piers didn’t tug my heartstrings as a dad, but I definitely felt for his sacrifice and will forever respect him as a goat.
Well piers was only like 23 or 24 when he died on the last mission with Chris, I’m pretty sure Chris actually thought of piers as his own son you can actually see the connection between father and son between Chris and piers, which is pretty sad especially considering how Chris reacts to piers injecting himself with the c-virus to save his father figure and then you have Chris as a father to piers at the end of the game freaking out over piers and everything that’s honestly how a father would react if him and his son were in the same branch together and were partnered up together, it’s even worse to see how Chris and piers bumped heads here and there and that usually normally happens with a father and a son duo, which is Chris and piers. I honestly loved playing resident evil 6 especially Chris’s campaign not only that but besides me majority of my siblings cried over piers death it actually almost got me as well
storywise the game is hard one for me to play. beat it once then terrible things happened after I could never finish other playthroughs or even start the dlc
It's not really talked about much, but dude would have been suffering pretty significant PTSD since the Mansion Incident. Like imagine you work with a crew of a dozen or so, everyone's pretty tight. Then in the course of a single night almost all of them are brutally murdered in something that seems like it's out of a literal nightmare. (And to make it worse, the betrayal of a superior you trusted made it all possible.) Like ain't no one getting out of that not fucked up lol. And he's only lost more people as time goes on... Homie has been through the wringer for sure.
For me it's Piers the dude deserve an Arc of his own, he was supposed to be the next Chris and Jake Muller was to be the next Albert Wesker, but alas RE changed it but it's still good Piers was a Loyal Soldier willing to do anything to save the World, yeah Ethan saved his daughter but c'mon Chris wouldn't be here now if it weren't for Piers. But I just wish that RE bring Piers back that would be Heartbreaking.
1000% Agree, but it's probably for the best, Piers would've wanted his Captain to continue what he does best instead of retiring. Though they often die for him, those under Chris respected him and even looked up to him with high regards; Piers Nivans and Finn Macauley alike.
The scenes are so depressingly close. He lifted both of them to their feet the same way. They pushed him away to sacrifice themselves. Chris is a badass. He feels emotional pain, but he keeps going

One of the only things I’ll give re6 props for is the dynamic between Chris and Pierce, the amnesia plot device was kinda shit but the vengeful attitude of Chris was well complimented by the tempered loyalty of Pierce
There are many Sad moments in Resident evil History, but what is truly sad is that Chris tried so Hard to save the people he loves but always is watching them dying and i think the reason why he gets more and more Cold is because all those Poor Souls, People that he Maybe even saw as Friends or Family did died and he could do nothing about it. I think the reason why he keeps fighting Bioweapons is because Chris want to Revenge at least in some way or Form his dead Friends, i mean After Wesker and Jill disapeared, Chris did try to fight even more Bioweapons than before, He risked his own life just to Safe Jill and Sheva some of the last People that love and Care for him and by Watching Chris being safed by Richard from Neptune, safed by Piers from Haos and safed by Ethan from Miranda but also watching them dying is the reason why Chris is still fighting, to stop the Monsters and other Things from killing innocent People and Friends he loves

Like many if not most Resident Evil fans, I consider Resident Evil 6 to be the weakest of the mainline series. But that scene with Piers was proof to me that Resident Evil was still worth believing in.

What are you talking about? RE6 is canon. And relationship between Chris and Ethan at the end of Village obviously similar to Chris and Pierce. Even some shots are similar, as you see in this video. Piers idk the scene never struck me enough to cause sadness maybe due the game not having siding much with the emotional vibe so it was just " oh that happened , jeez".
RE6 had a far deeper and more emotional story compared to RE8 IMO.

Like many if not most Resident Evil fans, I consider Resident Evil 6 to be the weakest of the mainline series. But that scene with Piers was proof to me that Resident Evil was still worth believing in.

What are you talking about? RE6 is canon. And relationship between Chris and Ethan at the end of Village obviously similar to Chris and Pierce. Even some shots are similar, as you see in this video. It's definitely did on purpose, like the dialogue from Heisenberg, when he called Chris a boulder punching asshole, referring to RE5

The truth is that RE6 didn't suck. Not nearly as bad as y'all say it did at the very least. Oh and for the record, if RE6 isn't a horror game, then neither are 4 and 5. Neither of those two games were scary either. RE7 and RE8 were horror games, but they sucked. The end.
I love RE6, and I have been playing RE games since 1999. It's in my top 5 REs along with RE1, REmake, RE5, RE6, and Revelations 1.
Also, I think RE8 is an action game too. It has the standard monster shooter gameplay loop.
