Let me give you a tip from my Dad who was a Master Carpenter. Do not hold the hammer near the head. You will not get any momentum. It will take longer to drive a nail in.
If you hold the hammer closer to the end, the weight of the hammer head helps drive in the nail.

The motion sensor lights is all I need to see in this video! OMG I’ve needed this for ever. I always forget to turn off the push lights, consequently, batteries always need replacement. Going to Amazon to purchase these now!

You could also just use foam-core boards from Dollar Tree for the same look at an even cheaper price, if that helps. Kathryn did a video on it about a year or two ago.

I like the idea of wood on top of the wire shelves. I keep meaning to rip out and replace the shelves in our pantry someday, but maybe this would be an alternative!

Jess, I have been watching YOU for about 3-4 years Hon. Way before you hit a million subs, but here lately I have been noticing the little things you have been doing that seem to be a little deceptive i.e. the photoshopping of the thumbnails. When I say photoshopping your thumbnails, I do not mean the things you you are highlighting in your video, unless you're highlighting your face in every video? Here is a tip you can use in your next video, tools aren't just things you plug in. Have you ever used an electric hammer? I think not. I also recommend that you should watch Veratasium's video on how to make truthful click bait titles. I hope my advice is more than enough?

Hi Kathryn, We recently sold our farm in Elkin after 14 yrs & moved back to Chatham Co. We're slowly upgrading several rooms. 1 of the first things I redid was the sorta small pantry. I used the boards & also the wire risers so that I could stack more cans on each shelf.
Been watching you for several years now. You have inspired me to do alit of things to make my home look nicer & cleaner. Thank you for all the help you have given so many!

You did the same thing a while back with Dollar Tree white poster board......you scored the back then used tape at the score line and snapped it to make a "lip". I think you used Contact paper to cover those boards. Very nice and cost effective
I used that method in my pantry about a year ago. It's held up great and I loved how easy and affordable it was. Looks so much better than the wire shelves!
Plasti core works very well also or thick cardboard.

Homeless shelters are always looking for any kind of washcloth or towels. I clean out and swap out my towels every few years too.

I know, right?! And tge old towels are already mostly de-linted!! No leftover body lint when I dry!
With a cheap 20v drill set like Bauer you can also make dressers, shelves, or cabinets using 2x2 and plywood wall panels for a decent price. Free blueprints and videos are somewhat easy to find online as well.

So I use that diva and I actually mix it with a "free and clear" detergent, I put it in a squeeze bottle from Dollar Tree and add it to an entire container until I get the "scent" i love and then just use it on my towels and sheets, etc. That way I can control how much I use. That stuff is AH-MAZING! LOVE LOVE LOVE your tips and tricks....keep um coming!

I did it on a Nickel!! I put all those delivered boxes to good use. Decorated the visible edge with marble contact paper I had left over from a different project. You sure get the imagination juices flowing! Thanks

They tell me they have limited free cuts in home depot and lows where I live. Oh. Machine is always broke at home depot by the way.
They have gone down hill ever since they started cutting jobs. It's not just people not wanted to work but cut jobs. The guy that took over as CEO took over JCPENNEY and look what happened. Now he runs Lowe's. Took us several hrs to get help to get a tub and surround. I like Lowes and hope they start doing better. Take care.

Love the newer idea you have. I used the older method you did with poster board and contact paper for my pantry which worked out great! I'll have to try this method for another closet.
I also did the older method and it’s still holding up. Lol never underestimate the strength of foam board. 😜😂

The plywood cover for the shelving was a great idea! Most closet makeovers talk about removing the wire shelving and building wood shelves. This is so much easier.
