2:20 has nothing to do with leash bug. Demo shouting and also a mob standing still to hit you or to cast against you resets the leash. So fozruk stunning him and thus being able to stand still to hit him, as well as demo shouting = it keeps leashing
I think as the druid in the last clip, you just cut your losses and sprint out of there. You don't provide enough value to the party to warrant bringing 3 silencing mobs into them. Run up the ramps and jump onto the reset spot and pray the other 4 people can deal with the boss and the earth elementals.
Even if you ran back, he just got feared again instead of popping barkskin and hibernate one of the mobs help heal instead of just being useless for another 10 seconds
preists rlly gotta learn to refresh their armor buff when it falls off cus it just takes soooo much pressure off when you put a shield up can actually free cast
Hey guzu I'm from the horde raid team in that first Nax clip. We've never failed the dps check on heigan until that attempt and yeah lots of people were not prepared for the dance.
For another point of view, the rogue might have been thinking he'd sit around in Stormwind for say 8 hours and PVP everyone he could get at safely. Hunter could have been unlucky and attacked at the start of his shift, and the guy might have intended to leave in another hour. *cough* it isn't as if he spent weeks or months ganking him every chance he got.
My only guess for why the rogue that kept running around SFK didn't take the exit is because he really wanted to be ported to his HS location, instead of just being outside the instance. It's a long ass walk for Alliance to get anywhere important from the entrance of SFK. Closest FP is Southshore, which is disgustingly far plus flight timer to IF or SW. Instance TP takes you to your HS location, though, so it's like saving some of his time. I guess he was pretty confident that he was going to live that long and as it turns out, he was right. Just my guess
An Allie player had once been ganking my leveling alt in Cata, so I logged on my main but he ended up ganking him too since I had 3 PvP kills and he had at least 3000 if I'm not mistaken. But one time he just froze high in the sky on his mount, thinking I won't return for more - big mistake against a priest who can levitate and slowly murder your ass. Well, after finally killing the ganker and avenging myself, I logged out. 2-3 hours later I log in and decide to finish all the daily quests which is like 15 min max. Do you know what the ganker did? He apparently been monitoring my character, flew to the zone where I logged in, travelled along all the quest areas until he found me and started ganking me again right before I could finish the last quest. And after a couple of kills he logged off for good. The guy literally been waiting for me to log in for 2+ hours just to kill me twice for managing to kill him.
Sounds like you won. People like that are beyond pathetic. They think they won even though they literally just spent hours stewing in their own anger and misery unsure of when you'd log back in. I'm sure they stay in denial about that part of it.
i'm not sure if demo shout resets leash, i think it has to be a damaging ability. But if the mob stands still, like when fozruk stunned him, that does reset the leash.
Being surprised by 7 hours is so funny to me. You're watching clips of a 20 year old game on hardcore mode. Not a single MF in these clips has left their room for weeks.
Not surprised, just disappointed with the average hardcore wow players low quality mind and ability to process feelings, thus willing to waste seven hours to make the person behind those pixels feel bad too!
In the hunter clip @ 03:07 : the hunter is lvl 59 before logout and 7 hours later the Hunter is lvl 60 ---- i think the rogue just accendently found him again and not "camped" for the hunter
the rogue also didnt stood there for 7 hours, you can see when he kills the hunter that the rogue just logged in because of all the "welcome" messages from the addons + the "joined X channel" you get. He probably kept track of him while playing an alt or something
not really hunter tried to have him killed flagging himself on a pve server in the process no one he kills in sw is innocent because it takes a pvp action to flag
It is harassment to sit waiting 7 hours to kill a specific person though. Imagine me sitting outside your house for 7 hours waiting for you to come outside.... (Not to harm you but the principle works the same)
nah man that dance dont mean shit seen people move ahead of me and still get hit the game has some kinda rng rollback code or something... you can have flawless internet but if blizzard dont send that sweet connection packet you're screwed. been raiding with the same crew for 20 years you can never trust blizzard raid mechanics to work because they have garbage internet servers.
The reason the first elite leashed so long isnt because of demo shout it was because the mob kept stunning her. When a mob stands still and attacks it resets its leash range to be around where it attacked.
Can't believe SoD runs on the same client as HC Classic. This is insane amateurism on every level, you NEVER do this because there simply is no way it can work out fine. Blizz wondering why people play on pservers when they can't even get the basics of client deployment/network architecture right. Where we are now, a group of four alcoholic friends in Moldavia runs a smoother HC server with less bugs than retail. I can't believe that a multi-billion dollar company would display such amateurism, it's clearly a budget choice, they're just milking the cow at this point, and shitting on the face of everyone gullible enough to still give them money

Sometimes I wonder if HC attracts literal noobs because there is no reputation to uphold. You die, then you make new character. There is no reputation to uphold, no blacklists possible, no security for anybody else because if you die, you die, and nobody will know you when you start over in a starting zone. Besides, the petri meta ruined the challenge. Clearing aq40 or naxx isn't about not dying, it's about how you time your petri. It ruined the meta. I know it, you know it, only a moron would say it doesn't. The original meta could have turned bad players into good players, but no - why learn from mistakes if you can just petri out? I'd even go as far and say, the petri meta made bad players even worse. Give the bad an out, and you get something worse.
You can see that the boss is almost dead before the dance. Most guilds on hardcore doing it in one phase before the dance happens because you don't want to risk loosing characters. My guild, for example, did it on Darkmoon Fairy week for extra 10% damage and our guild also lost like two people when dance happened for us for the first time. So most ppl don't even know how to dance or did it so long ago that forgot how to do it.
Griefing doesn't exist. If you're in the game and something happens in the game it's just game mechanic. Like pvp flagged players dying, that's just game mechanics. Have someone in your raid that does something stupid, maybe intentionally? You're on an MMORPG, that's game mechanics.
