- In this video we go over how to make your first patch on the Roland Juno X. There is no right or wrong way to make a patch especially since tones are subjective so I simply go over the different things to consider when creating a basic patch and ultimately how to save the patch for use later.

Hey Ponchy! Thanks for this informative video. I just got the Juno X as my first Synth, and want to find more in depth videos like this so I can learn this instrument! Any suggestions? I'll be looking through your channel!
Very simple and straightforward. Thank you.
No prob and glad to help!
This is so useful. I got mine yesterday and the manual is somewhat complicated.
Glad to help! Yeah the menus are quite extensive too haha.
Great vid!! I was supposed to be putting videos out too but I never did! Keep up the good work!! I love the JunoX, hard to find another reasonably priced synth that I would need. It covered most of my loose ends.
Glad to help and I appreciate the kind words! I was a bit worried when I bought it but it turned out to be way better than I thought haha.
Mine just came in today. This was a lot of fun. Thanks for doing this 🍺
Glad to help and congrats! Definitely a beast of a synth haha.
@@Ponchy I really hope you do more and dive even deeper. I'd love to learn how to design pads, bass etc. Thanks again.
So I’m completely new to the Juno X. One thing I can’t figure out is how to control what the envelope is effecting. I want to be able to adjust the filter envelope separately from the amplitude envelope. I hope you can help! Thanks
Can you choose what engine you want this way? What I mean is can you tell it you want the 106 or 60 or x when you are first starting the editing? It always says Juno x when I dial up a tone.
bro i’ve been trying to find the answer for this for so long, did you find anything out?
Hit the arrows under where it says juno x
After hitting juno 106 under models
Hey Ponchy how many user memories are there?
Thank you. By "patch," do you mean "scene?"
It seems that if you want to save an internal preset to the user bank it creates/adds to a scene part as well. Is it possible to just save an internal preset to the user bank without scenes being saved?
Thank you very much, but how to save a sound from enywhare to new scene ( scene 8-01 exc) ? Usually i start from a sound that i like and i work in It to make it better...and save it at the end, can i do this just to user bank or also in scenes? Thats still hard to understand for me. Thank for your help
Yeah it just depends if you want to save the patch individually for use with many other scenes or if you want to save the scene itself. I think based on what you are asking, you probably want to save the patch itself to the user banks and then that way you can use it in any other scene.
