Bell Ringing at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire

On Saturday the 20th of May I ran an outing to Salisbury Plain. Steeple Ashton are a fantastic set of six bells cast in 1959 by John Taylor and Co. with a tenor weighing 20cwt. They sound glorious but owing to the very tall tower and lack of regular maintenance they have a tendency to drop and be unpredictable.
