great review i love megabass i agree with you about the destroyer after 3 year and the tip broke on cast and my warranty was out i couldnt stomach paying 475 again without better warranty
That rods on my short list. I just took out a Daiwa 6’8” med light blx sensitive with a 3000 vanquish on it. It’s the most balanced rod I have, the balance point is at the start of the lock nut. Everything else I have is right after it. It’s going to with me a lot next year. Ohh and buy a rod dryer from mudhole and a stand, then wrap a hook keeper where ever you want.
It's unfortunate how poorly most reels fit into spinning rods. I had to chuckle when you said about how good the fit and finish is while showing the huge gap between the nut and grip.
i love this new grip on this rod. but i don't enjoy it for jerkbaits, the action from the solid tip is not what i'm looking for. however finesse jigging techniques it does pretty well. not very sensitive to many other rods but enough, i think the solid tip kills a bit of the feel.
Was not really impressed with the Medusa. I had it for a couple weeks before I sold it and picked up a 7’ light expride. IMO, it’s heavy and lacks sensitivity.
Thanks for your feedback. Medusa fishes more like a medium light/medium IMO. Medusa isn’t made for bottom contact so the sensitivity will lack compared to the jade python. For what I used it for, I thought sensitivity was great - mid strolling, drop shot and jerkbaits.

Thanks for watching! Darn - That’s definitely every fisherman’s worst nightmare.
thanks for sharing
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
Really enjoyed the Medusa for mid strolling.
Thanks for the feedback. I can definitely say the same!

That’s a great idea - about the hook keeper. Might just try it 😅

This or the Adrena (Twin Power 2500)? Great vid.
Twin power is heavier and for more power applications. Vanquish is super light and for more normal applications
@ ok so an Expride or an G-Loomis NRX. Both match the colour scheme (sorry, I’m a confirmed angler geek). Thx
Can't go wrong with Megabass 😅
Agreed!

Nice review, if you wanna check out the jade python at all, lmk. I’m local to you.
Thanks for the feedback! Most definitely will reach out!
