Hah yea totally not necessary for me but if you like it that’s fine. I also didn’t understand why the seal had 3 (?) different buttons to rotate the screen when I had it for testing. Automation. AI Robotic assembly line. Vertical integration supply chain. BYD using own battery production. Domestically sourced materials and components. Efficient infrastructure. All come together to keep costs down for Chinese EVs. Margins may be low but profits based on large production.

According to Chinese official statistics, the spontaneous combustion rate of electric vehicles is lower than that of fuel vehicles.

Chinese whispers, if your car is inferior your business will lose sales. Highly competitive EV market.

No Chinese EVs for me. Don't want my house burn down while charging at home or self ignite while driving or parked. BYD, Xiaomi or Aito (Huawei ?) are overpriced but sucks.

小粉紅。Even normal mainland Chinese who are sane will NOT buy their EVs. Problems like brake failures and fail self driving are common. Better buy Tesla.

Looks cool does not mean good quality.
Other car makers confirmed their quality by their history. It is decades.
All these bangs and whistles from Chinese car makers don't give me a confidence in their quality.

BYD makes nice EV cars but cheap batteries in them, they keep exploding for no reason. 😅 No thanks.
