Rotating screen comes very handy. In portrait mode, you can open navigation on half of the split screen and play video/movie on the other half, and have the video fill up the other half screen.
Hah yea totally not necessary for me but if you like it that’s fine. I also didn’t understand why the seal had 3 (?) different buttons to rotate the screen when I had it for testing. Seems like rotating it would be so rare that it would be buried in a menu somewhere. Different strokes for different folks

I love my BYD Atto 3 EV (Yuan Plus), it is the best car I have owned. It already has the card tap on the mirror, and app for the phone (very convenient). Yes, sadly it is my friends in US who are missing out on these affordable, well made vehicles. We are planning on visiting the Guangzhou Automobile Expo at Canton Fair next month. Thanks for sharing. Last October 2023, was great weather in Beijing and Shanghai, so looking forward to our next visit to Guangzhou. 10 years ago the Model Y didn’t exist, and now it’s the best selling vehicle on the planet. Also, Elon has said China is a threat to most automakers and acknowledges their proficiency at manufacturing - that’s why he keeps expanding their factory in Shanghai.

BYD sells plenty of pure EV compact crossovers, such as the Yuan Plus. In addition there is also a BEV version of that Song Plus PHEV. Doesn't even cost that much more money either. But the fact is, consumers by far prefer the PHEV and buy those in far greater numbers.
@@tren133 What usually happens is consumers buy a PHEV and realise they don't need to cart around the extra ICE motor and pay maintenance that entails (oil changes etc). Then their next car is a pure EV.
I think Denza D9 can't be Alphard Killer because its appearance still looks very similar to Alphard. I think Zeekr 009 is more likely to be Alphard Killer.

I just watched a brief review of the refreshed BYD Han. Reviewer that the BYD reps told him it's not a big deal, just a quote "minor YEARLY refresh". What was part of this "minor" refresh? A full drivetrain update, upgrading to BYD's new 5.0 DM-i system. Reconfigured rear suspension to 5 multi-link design. New front end sheetmetal. LIDAR on the top trim with improved autonomous driving tech. Oh and of course a small price CUT. You know, just some MINOR updates you put into your cars every single year...
Not one of these propagandists for Chinese vehicles mentions a single word how much government subsidies there are for electric vehicles in China. The executive director of Xiaomi, for example, stated that they are losing almost 10,000 euros for each vehicle produced. Who covers those losses?

I have the 2023 BYD Atto 3 EV Extended range. It is a great car, the quality and finish is very good. I have not regretted my purchase. It is because most of the production is automated with robotics, and BYD controls every aspect of their integrated supply chain. It also has a 5 Star ANCAP rating. The BYD LFP Blade battery, safest EV battery in the world. BYD started operating in 1995.
The cost of spreading rumors is very low now. You can also make fake videos and post them on TH-cam or other media platforms, and then earn advertising fees!
No Chinese EVs for me. Don't want my house burn down while charging at home or self ignite while driving or parked. BYD, Xiaomi or Aito (Huawei ?) are overpriced but sucks.
